Yamamoto gets Commander skill buff, where is the Steven Seagal/John Doe buff???

So just to clarify, Steven Seagal was the first Unique Commander to enter the game.
Renamed to John Doe a few patches ago.
Think John Doe should get the same Captain buff as Yamamoto Isoroku... But there is no information regarding John Doe yet.
Why isn't there any buff to John Doe yet?

Steven Seagal:

Quote

Expert Marksman
+3 (up from +2.5) deg/s to traverse speed of guns with a caliber up to 139 mm
+1 (up from +0.7) deg/s to traverse speed of guns with a caliber above 139 mm

Expert Loader:

Yamamoto only had talents and no improved commanders skills.

 

So this change says that he now gets improved commander skills on top of his talents (since the talents only trigger when you get either first blood or get a kraken, which obv does not happen that often.)

 

Steven Seagull/John Doe already has improved skills:

Expert marksman and Expert loader improvements

You forgot that Steven Seagal/John Doe also has:

Expert Loader reduces reload time when switching shell types by -75% (normally -50%).

Same as Jack Dunkirk - there is no need to buff them

 

Yamamoto was a regular captain for all intents and purposes

  • First blood (not going to be every game but doable often enough) for extra consumable - most games will end / you'll die before using all of the ones you already have, not even talking about getting another one
    • and then there are aircraft
  • Kraken (good luck getting these often enough to make difference) for heal and reload - 99 times out of a 100 by the time you get a Kraken enemy team is so crushed that you won't even really get a chance to use that reload, and heal is either going to heal basically nothing (DDs - % hp based / CVs - tend to not take any dmg) or probably won't even heal for its full potential bcuz you already had heals on your ship which healed most of your healable dmg making it wasted
    • Lets put this into some perspective. You have 82 Krakens in your 6667 Random games - that's one every 81 games. So on average you'd have to play 81 games with Yamamoto to get that reload and heal. Lets be generous and say that 1 in every 5 games like that enemies still are strong enough and your team is weak enough that those bonuses come in handy. That would be 1 useful time every 400-ish games. Good luck with how useful that is

Do not forget that the upcomming commander HALSEY will make John Doe same kind of superfluous. As Halsey will have also Expert Loader and Expert Marksman and on top his special traits (Hit hard! and Hit fast!).
