I thought I had seen everything playing WOW but I could not believe what I saw today.

In a Co-op game, two of my "team mates" decided to attack the carrier while I was dealing with the last BB. One of these ships was so close to the carrier that they could have jumped over to the carrier to have a look. Their ship had torpedoes and being that close I thought night night for the carrier. But I was wrong, after trying to dodge torpedo planes and dive bombers, I saw my team mate fire off torpedoes at short range and HE MISSED!!!!! To make matters worse, they get themselves on the edge of the map and therefore cannot turn their ship to fire torpedoes on the other side. I lost my concentration and got sunk, but instead of going back to port, I decided to witness this person trying to kill the carrier. It was painful. The ship was not a Tier 1 or 2 but Tier IV. I can only think that this person had not had a ship before with torpedoes and therefore was not sure what to do.

So, for all those players new to WOW, make sure you know how to use the tools of the ship!

BTW - The other ship that went after the carrier was either laughing too much at the events or stunned in disbelief.

In the days of old I used to launch my torpedoes according to my own judgement of enemy speed, distance and torpedo speed. At least until some of my buddies told me about that strange greyish triangle that magically appeared on my screen every time I switched to torpedoes...

I mean I get annoyed at players playing unbelievably bad, but tier IV and also co-op.

I don't think I would have been very surprised.

We have that kind of "players" sailing tier 10 ships in random battles...

Yep, that kind of player that occasionally plays TIV to allow newbies to carry them to victory now and then. ^^

In a Space battle I spent almost 10 minutes watching a noobish player trying to kill an Hellcarrier with a Paris under 6km, I don’t know how he managed to reach tier 6 and unlock space ships because he wasn’t able to hit the giant enemy ship at that close distance with main guns, the kill was scored by his secondaries xD

Yupp, used to do that too... Also got caught off-guard a few times, when my 6km torps did not hit a target 10km away... No matter how many times I fired them. The range totally extends itself, if you fire multiple salvos right, right? :cap_wander_2:

I do remember that in my first few games I didn't know that you could zoom in using shift, but that was T1/2 in co-op.

2 nights ago will go down in my history of playing WOWS. I seen the most awful, pathetic, anti team-play/skills that i have ever seen in WOWS.  It was truly astounding seeing 2 full health tirp's sniping from the 10 line, DD's refusing to spot, cap or do anything, and i mean anything! Or about to win the game and then throw it away by pressing the "fire" button.

I have been chat banded (until 17th) for the first time ever after that night. I hardly used Chat in game but it's getting so bad that some players need to hear it.  Maybe they don't wanna hear it, care, or understand but it has to be said. I didn't even swear.

And you get comments like "your not the leader".  Yeah, because if you remotely listened we would have won this 2 mins ago!

"cap and hold for the win" and there they go like lemmings to their death one by one.  Full broadside and all.

"Don't chase CV and Cap, win on points!" And they chase the CV, and his escort and get sunk and when they only needed 20 more seconds to cap and win.

"DONT FIRE AND GO INVIS".  He fires, gets killed and lose the game!!!!!

The MM regarding Player skill on each team is so broken with 6 Typhoon players on one side against a barbarian team of mixed players on the other.  Even if your on that side, it feels wrong for the enemy on so many levels.  What chance does a team against 6 OMNI/OM players have to an average team of WOWS players?

:Smile_facepalm::Smile_facepalm::Smile_facepalm:

I think a good break is needed.

I have to come to peace that alot of players who play this game are about my sons age and don't know any better. The skill gap between good and bad players is currently at it's widest IMHO.

It's ok while they stay in coop but having a Tirpitz player in random who doesn't have a clue that he has torps.

"Hey guys what's up with this 3 key"

I mean srsly. Even if troll it's a bad one.

I love how they show broadside in front of my Space Kurfurst at <15km, but the most satisfaction come from radaring them with Space Moskva: 6-7 citadels? Clearly hacking! :D

In Theory Co-op it's the place to do all those kind of weird things, perhaps he was trying to do something different. From time to time I try crazy things (Like playing with a fully secondary spec Kaga). Perhaps it's his first ship with torpedoes... Who knows. Still I don't think it's a good idea to complain about what people does on Co-op (unless they teamkill you)
