Teamkiller status removal?

Hi,

why does it say "approximate number of games until teamkiller status is removed"?

What is the actual rule or mechanism?

There should be a Wiki page with the details.

We have an official post in the German Forum with explanations:

Hello dear forum community,

Since the current mechanics of "teamkilling" and pink status are relatively opaque for most players, we have collected some information for you for a better understanding:

- a player gets disciplinary team killer status under the following conditions:

  1. 10,000 or more damage to Allies in the last 1,000,000 damage points of the main battery (1% of damage to Allies)
  2. 10,000 or more damage to Allies in the last 1,000,000 damage points from aircraft bombs (1% of damage to Allies)
  3. 10,000 or more damage to Allies in the last 1,000,000 damage points from torpedoes dropped by aircraft (1% of damage to Allies)
  4. 40,000 or more damage to Allies in the last 1,000,000 damage points from ship-fired torpedoes (4% of damage to Allies)
  5. Destroying an ally with the main battery, torpedoes of any kind or bombs (it counts sinking, not the amount of damage done)
  6. The shooting down of at least 30 allied aircraft in the last 100 air battles (flak does not apply, only air battles between aircraft)

- The player's nickname turns pink as soon as he receives disciplinary team killer status

- Once a player has been given team killer status, the damage they have done to allied ships is reflected back to them as a percentage. For example, if a pink player deals 10,000 damage to an Allied ship and this was 50% of his structural points, the cause loses not 10,000 structural points but 50% of his SP.

- The team killer's victim receives only 10% of the actual damage that would be caused (5% for torpedoes).

However, the victim will receive the full fire & flood damage, but we plan to reduce this in the future.

- The reflected damage increases for the team killer if he continues to attempt to damage allied ships - 150%, 200% etc... up to immediate sinking of his ship

- In order to get rid of the disciplinary status, the person concerned must complete 6 battles without harming any allies. Within this period, any further damage to allies (proportional to the damage done) will increase the number of battles required.

A small addition - also the ramming & touching of friendly ships belongs to it. Normally this is not a problem, but especially if you try to get rid of the pink status this can be problematic. Avoid collisions - you won't have to play "extra" games for it, but the battle doesn't count as a "clean fight" if you've touched an ally, despite the minimal damage. This is also wanted, so please pay attention to your surroundings.

You are not allowed to shoot a pink teammate, the same rules apply as described above!

Good luck on the open sea :)

Do any team damage and that time will be extended. Rammed an ally? +1 game. Shot an ally? Probably + multiple games. Ally rammed you? Counts as you ramming him, +1 game.

You pink = you can't do a single point of team dmg.

Might as well ask here... Does fire or flooding damage count toward penalty of any kind? ...Is there any reason to not hit the DC button if a friendly causes fire or flooding on you?

Yeah they count !! If you don't stop a fire caused by an allied ship, it will end up turning pink and then will take 10 times the DoT you are suffering (causing usually to die)

Thanks to LilJumpa!

What is the source for this kind of info, and is it up-to-date?

I'll be sure to start a Wiki page with that, it seems overdue.

If you want to thank him, mark his post as an answer to your question, it will help him for our little contest (even though I think he as already won)

After some salt-inducing testing, I've come to the conclusion that flood and fire damage does in fact not reflect back at the offender, unless he was already pink at the start of the battle. If the flood or fire damage does affect the penalty of a previously non-pink player is yet undetermined. If the offender already was pink at the start of the battle, the damage done through flooding or fire is indeed reflected back at the offender and multiplied, resulting in a quick death for the offender.
