Any mod for bring the old "whizzle" deafening sound?

I remember long ago when one received alot of damage (like a citadel hit) there was a deafening sound with a whizzle or a high pitched tone, the kind of ones that you "hear" when there is a deafening sound. It was a cringing one, but quite apropiate for the situation.

 

I really wonder if there is any sound mod which brings that sound back. I really liked that one (at least much better than the current one)

PD: I tried to post this on the mod section but I cannot open a new post there.

Doesn't needs to be an official mod, can be an unofficial one (I don't think WG would accuse anyone of cheating just for changing that sound)

Phew. If the sound was changed (which appears to be the case), you'd have to recover the original file to even make a mod.

 

The override itself should not be a problem, but you would have to find a version of the client from before the change was made to extract it. Or, as a workaround, extract it from some other source, but I think it would be tricky to find a video that has only this sound and no other effects or music in the background...

As far as I know those were several effects mixed together or triggered together. In this Vid about the soundeffects, the ringing tone is a single sound file.

I cannot tell you if that is still available.

Not sure if this is much different to the shors vid I posted. Maybe they had an intensified version for citadels back then or the music is just overlapping in your example.

But those were the heavy hit sounds from 2015 and early 2016.

 

But it doesn't really help you here, since you would have to mix it yourself and replace it, or find a modder that does this.

Since a lot of people complained about it back then I am pretty sure that there is no official mod containing this atm.

I did a voice mod in the old system. It was quite different from sfx mods. I am sorry but I can't help right now I have to have a closer look at it
