Dear EU staffs and developers,

 

I'll report 2 issues which occered in replay mode.

(I'm usually playing WoWS in ASIA server, but hard to trust their relay enough. So, I'll report this for EU forum to closer to developers.) 

 

 

issue A : Tactical map doesn't work in replay mode.

 

1. Description

  • Tactical Map (usually, it called pressing M key) isn't work in replay mode.
  • This issue occered already in 0.7.2.

 
2. Reproduction steps

  1. Boot replay mode with WoWS replay file (*.wowsreplay).
  2. Wait untill finish opening count down.
  3. Click right MB to change free loock mode.
  4. Press M key, or click map icon beside of  speed meter.
  5. ... Nothing happens.

 
3. Result

  • It's not able to use tactical map in replay mode.

 
4. Expected result

  • Tactical map works in replay mode again.

I'm publishing playing video (for Nico and YouTube), and utilize tactical map for debriefing section.

5. Technical details

  • Always in current version.
  • It doesn't work too, when add another key as secondary hot key.
     

 

 

 

issue B : Configuration menu appears keyed to replay speed ratio.

 

1. Description

  • Configuration menu (usually, it called pressing ESC key) appears keyed to replay speed ratio.
  • If stop replay, and press ESC key, the menu appears very very very slowly.

(It able to escape from freezing menu with pressing ESC key again.)

 
2. Reproduction steps

  1. Change replay speed with Del/Ins key.
  2. Press ESC key to call configuration menu.
  3. Comfiguration menu appears quickly a little with increased speed, slowly with decreased speed.

  • The menu works nomally without appearing speed.

 
4. Expected result

  • The menu works same speed regardless of replay speed ratio.

 
5. Technical details

  • This issue occered already Beta test (in 2015).

(I reported this issue at that time, or sometimes after official launch.)

crash error. game doesnt start. every 2 days... its annoing to download game again, again..

 

cann i reinstall without downloading?  is some advise?

Simply take a backup copy of the game folder after fresh install and then just copy it back to install location ... the game does not need to be installed to work, a simple copy of the client works without problems.

Disconnected after entering a Battle, yesterday and today. Long time and very difficult to re connect after restarting the client. Never happened before.

 

Can't find the dump file, where is supposed to be?

1. Description
  • Audio > speech > English pirate not working as expected

 
2. Reproduction steps

  • Assign Voiceover language to "English Pirate"
  • Set Voiceover modification to "Standard" (can not find a logical choice for pirate)

 
3. Result

  • In game sounds are played as "Fancy Brittish instead" of "Pirate English"

 
4. Expected result

  • I want "Yaarrrs!", "Neptunes beard", "Lard ho!" and such.

When using the tactical map squadrons often do not respond when you try to order them to move somewhere.

It is very easy to reproduce this bug, but in order to do that some of the developers have to either listen and understand what is being said to them by people who play the game or have to play the game themselfs.

 

Strafing and exit strafing also has plenty of issues with squadrons not responding or not moving or simply moving way faster then what they are designed to do.

Not Sure if allready known so i post it in maybe again, forgive me for that.

 

Sometimes when ships sink their horn is still honking like mad, happend a few times on Haven map so far and on tears of the dessert. Also Soundbug Shellsounds in the exact middle of the map.

Sadly this also happens for the new awful bullet travel sound too..

And when that happens, all you hear is Shwoo, shwoo, shwoo, shwoo on repeat.

Had a bug where a ship horn kept sounding all the time. I noticed it in port, but it persisted during when I pressed battle and even on the loading screen and the next match. It never went away, it just became a bit less loud.
Not sure how it happened and restarting the client fixed it.

Game constantly crashes blah bla bla. All the same.

Here's the funny thing. Lately crash reports are not generated at all. Game crashes. That's it. No report. No evidence. No fancy windows error tables.  Is this the way to hide something?

Thx WG.......After 10 lose battle because with T8 Monarch the MM puts me up to t10 the game crashes at 11.th game what was nearly a victory........Novadays this game disapoints me a lot.

When a CV targets a squadron to attack the autopilot responds and places the waypoint below the squadron.

 

Ways to reproduce are the following, you download the game , you install the game.

You start a game as a CV ( which might be something new for wargaming ) then target a squadron to be attacked and notice the autopilot responding when it shouldn't.

Strafing seems to be very bugged in a way that is either caused by simply poor programming or desyncs with the server.

I just did 1 game where i did a strafe with a full squadron and the other squadron did not lose a single plane, even though the plane was inside the strafe area for at least 2 seconds and well inside the range of the fighters doing the strafing.

 

Ways to reproduce would be rather difficult since it might be caused by poor hosting of the servers.

 

Posting a replay would do no good since it does not show the lines of the strafe area.

I have added a replay of a late game i did.

At the end of the game i strafe on a squadron of bombers that are heading towards a hindenburg, its a full strafe with a full squadron and the enemy is full inside of it and in front of my squadron ( and in range), however does not lose a single plane.

Another example of strafing bugging is in the Canada replay.

At the 17:40 mark squadron 1 is going to counterstrafe another fighter squadron and gets teleported from way outside the range of the enemy fighter inside the strafing zone and i am able to destroy the enemy squadron.

1. Description

 

Guns refuse to fire when they are rotating and player has pressed the fire button "in advance" (for sequential fire), when the marker appears to be green. Sometimes, it does not fire the even when double clicking left mouse button like a madman. Noticeably in Hindenburg.

 
2. Reproduction steps

 

Pretty much explained above. It's worse when ship is turning, does not help even if turning is stopped and turrets are really on point.

 
3. Result

 

Guns won't fire at all and sometimes even double-clicking does not help. Seems like they are "stuck" in some way.


4. Expected result

 

Guns usually fire right away when the traverse marker is green "on point".


5. Technical details

 

Will provide replay if needed. This has happened in the previous patches also and in some CC's videos.
