NO1Z3TR4UMA Players 6 posts 293 battles Report post #1 Posted March 9, 2018 Hey Fellow WoW Captains, Let's introduce myself a little bit (yeeeey my first topic on WoW), first i took a long brake from Warships (was playing more tanks and some other games), second after not playing 1 year and half maybe longer or maybe less i thought i would suck when playing again (1 week so far) but actually i had pretty good games on my Omaha so far anyway let' get to the point and explain my question. I've read (most posts were from 2016 or older) that allot of ppl use "Vigilance" skill for the 3th skill for Omaha tier 5 American cruiser. Personal i have a double feeling about that skill coz i rarely use my torpedoes and 25% bigger range its about 1 km more range if i didnt calculated wrong. Most of the time i'm lowest tier, if a tier 6- 7 comes closer i try to keep them on my maximum gun distance so i dont use torpedoes in this situation. When playing this game for 1 week, i used my torpedoes twice i know it's not allot but what do you think i should do? What is your opinion about the 3th skill on Omaha? Pls explain why, vigilance or..... ? Personally I find this skill useless, you have hydro for that. 3rd row skill for Omaha, Demolition Expert no contest, it's a fire spammer. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Oh oww mmh perhaps i didnt read it properly then my bad... Hmmm against cruisers i dare to spam AP instead of HE, love to deal citadel hits and i have the feeling when shooting HE they catch pretty quick fire, i dont know if the 2% is really worth it but im gonna wait for some more feed back. Omaha base fire chance is 12%. +2% from DE makes it 14%. That's quite a nice gain. I completely agree it's fun to citadel cruisers with AP but often in this ship you don't have the chance to do that. In T7 games you need every tiny advantage to help burn down those BBs. Even if DE is not amazing you have to get something, and everything else is even more useless. [SCRUB] piritskenyer Players, Players, Sailing Hamster 3,462 posts 5,363 battles Report post #5 Posted March 10, 2018 If I had a 19 point cpt for Omaha (or Marblehead) or indeed any light cruiser on the CL line, my build would be as follows: Priority Target (1)(1) Expert Marksman (2)(3) Demolition Expert (3)(6) Concealment Expert (4)(10) Inertia Fuzed High Explosive (4)(14) Superintendent (3)(17) Adrenaline Rush (2)(19) This is a pretty generalist 6" cruiser build, where DE is mostly used to offset the negative effects of IFHE. On an Omaha I think you can get away with not ising IFHE (that will make another 4 points available), as I think your HE pen is good enough to penetrate the 25mm plating of T7 BB's. If you indeed bypass IFHE, you can invest in a variety of skills on the tree. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

True, you can get away with not having supernintendo on Omaha, but like I said, it's a generalist build. If you get rid of IFHE (you should be able to pen 25mm of plating w/o it, right?) and SI, you have 7 points to play with, those can go into a number of different things, like last stand, survivability expert (1750 plus hp, I guess it's something)... I don't really see what other builds you can make. I could set up T5 trollbuilds, but those are a bit specialised... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks evryone for the nice feedback, i picked ''Demolition Expert'' i had a bad view on the skills and wasnt sure which are important or quite useless on Omaha thx to make my view better :) yea i'm happy!
