Hi, how do you find which ships are most profitable money wise?

I am looking at my profile...

Says in my Nassau, in avg I make 26 k damage per game

Konig 28.5 k..

But Nassau is T3 and Konig is T5. Which of them makes more $$$?

My top damage is T4 Hosho CV 35 k damage in average.

I can't find anywhere stat what ship makes what money in average per game. Just curious. I don't like Konig, but I love Nassau. I don't like CV but seems CV makes most damage of them all.

On a side note. The ships I like most do solid damage, but winrate is ... meh. On ship where winrate is like 60%... damage is meh. Of course I played all of them like 30-40 times so maybe not enough info for real statistics.

  • Higher tier ships make more money than lower tier ships (going too high causes you to get less money because of repair costs)
  • The better you play the more you make. In your case you're relatively bad at playing tier 5 but when comparing you to tier 3 players you're better than others, and therefore make relatively more money.
  • Premium ships have a better income.

As far as I know there is no stat which shows how much money you make per ship, but the general idea is:

Best moneymakers: Highest tier premiums (Missouri, Musashi, tier 8 premiums).

Good moneymakers: Medium tier premium ships (tier 5-7).

Decent moneymakers: Any ship between tiers 5-10 you're good in.

Okay moneymakers: Low tier premium ships or low tier ships you're good in (below tier 5).

If the damage is comparable like 26-28 then the one with lower tier will make more money because of cheaper repairs? How about CV do they have money reduced or something because CV is CV they usually make a lot of damage or shoot a lot of planes..? Judging by the fact that I make most of damage in CV ... maybe it makes good money, but then I heard somewhere that CV money is reduced or am I wrong here?

I don't even like playing higher tiers since I feel best in T3-T4. Today bought Pensacola T7... since I bought it already I have to try.... But generally my best ships where I feel I am really doing something is T3 St. Louis, T4 Phoenix, T5 Omaha, T3 Kawachi and T3 Nassau. And time to time T4 CV is some fun. Cleveland I think it's good ship but I struggled to make it work for me.

I am just thinking starting another branch, because tiers T5 and higher stress me out. Maybe instead of leveling up I will try to leveling different.

[EDIT] my question is because since I bought this T7 Pensacola, I have enough free exp to unlock all modules.... But I was short on silver to buy the last module I unlocked :) 400 k silver short :D

Theoretically yes, but at low tiers, repair costs are negligible. However it's the fact that at tier 2 or 3, 40K damage is considered more than at it is at tier 4 or 5 that gives you better rewards. Which is why it's considered as if you've contributed more. And also it's not the damage itself that brings the money. It's percentage of damage. Dealing 10k damage (or 100% of hp) to a low tier destroyer is the same as doing 30-40k damage (or 100% of hp) to a low tier battleship.

CV economy is a little different yes. I'm not entirely sure how exactly, but they usually get similar number of money per game, but like I've said: Damage isn't what counts, it's % of damage. If you want to make some money on lower tiers buy yourself a tier 4 or 5 premium ship.

Aah, now I understand. I think yes it makes sense. 30 k damage at T3 is bigger contribution/impact to game than say same 30k damage at T6...Thanks!!!

I have been playing tanks. But the thing about premiums one has really find one that he likes. Because having premium that is not loved and played is just waste of money. The good thing is that if I understand correctly most premiums are improved versions of some non premium. So before buying it is worth it to play non premium version of similar ship and if I love it then buy it in premium.

Exactly....try playing the Omaha (US tier 5 CL), if you manage to like it I really recommend the Murmansk. It's pretty cheap and a really good ship, it doesn't have protected MM though since it's a tier 5, so if you're not comfortable with playing against tier 7 ships go for something lower.

You might also use an external tool called "mxstat" to analyze your matches after your playing session. You could easily see what damage you have done and how many credits you got.

I think carriers are quite good money makers. Here is the data:

Carrier T4: 33k damage 61 k credits (game lost!)

Battleship T3: 68k damage 80 k credits. (game won!)

So yes carrier is T4 but 33k damage is pretty much average (I think i was like 6th on score board)

Battleship is T3 but 68 k damage is pretty high. It was a very good game for T3 (I was 2nd on score board).

damage to credits ration carrier 0.54 vs battleship 0.86 and the lower number means more $$$ because I divide damage to credits.

So my conclusion is that carriers are pretty decent money makers if/IF you can live with gameplay because carrier gameplay unlike any other ship. It's like a mini game inside ships universe, but it's very different from normal ship play.

And about Murmansk I really like Omaha, but Murmansks are not one the sale right now. Can't buy them.

Also worth noting is that winning/losing has no impact on your credits earned whatsoever. It only affects XP

Actually, carriers have the lowest multiplier of all ships. (xp and credit multiplier).

Xp and credits are calculated from the amount of damage you do compared to the full health of the ship you are shooting... 1000 damage done to a DD is worth more than 1000 damage to a BB and you get rewarded in the same way.

Tanking and spotting also counts to these rewards but in lesser amounts.

That said. Use the ship to get credits that you enjoy the most playing and that gives the best rewards. If you enjoy the ship you play and don't loose money on every game (looking at tier 9/10), then the grinding is its own reward.

They also recently changed which ships are on sale in the shop. If the ship you want isn't in the shop, have a look in the tech tree in game. They might be there. If it isn't in either place. Wait for when they go on sale again.

That's all well and good but some people have a base acc and cant get those ships.

To them I would personally say, look at all of the premium ships available to buy, and do some research on them, i.e youtube.

Once you found one you like, play a tree ship in that line so you can see if it suits your playstyle or not.

If it does, buy it.

If it doesn't, then you may need to find another ship.
