Carriers seem to finally be making a bit of a comeback which is great, but i have noticed a bit of a problem.

 

Since there is no skill based matchmaking what often happens is that one team gets a super unicum carrier player with 80% something win rate while the other team gets a red tomato who doesn't even bother using his fighters to screen against the enemy planes or scout. The result is of course a landslide victory for the team with the good carrier player because he gets complete free reign to influence the battle in any way he sees fit, while the tomato forgets how to launch planes.

MM is not skill-based, and maybe less obvious than carriers, this is also the case for other ships.

Even if the number of CV player is increasing, that's not enough to do so.

Just remove the possibility to have 2 carriers per team at tier 4 to 7 and that will be good already.

Well, i was hoping that CVs would die out and never make a comeback, but having them in nearly every game is annoying as frak.

Still, i hope that WG fraks them up good and rebalnces them into the ground so nobody ever plays them again. :cap_haloween:

 

And yes, having a CV player on your team that has the cognitive abilities of a pot plant is incredible frustrating.

They still need to stop tier 5 cvs meeting tier 6 and 7 cvs. I can't believe they didn't see the problem with that matchmaking when they removed strafing from tier 4 and 5. A cv that can't strafe vs a cv that can is no contest and shouldn't happen.

Running Matchmaking monitor its not that rare to have teams with avg. 45% winrate besides having three 70% and up players.

 

There is a skill gap in all classes - how to balance that? 

 

Even the super unicum carrier cant carry 3 below 30k avg. t10 BBs - so what now?

Give the super unicum CV all potatoe BBs?

Give him 2?

 

What about that AA cruisers - place all in the team of the bad CV to stop the unicum?

But if that are all "dead after 5 minutes because sailing in open water" desmoines?

How does 1 unicum desmoines and 2 bad BBs count?

 

What about divisions? 

How to balance out the 3 unicum division? 

2 unicums that bring an afk fake account not to get "MM to hell" with their teams next?

 

Why to get better if all you get for getting better is better opponents?

You are punished for being good - or rewarded to stay bad forever?

Sorry terrible idea.
