PA - T9/10

Is there something im missing when it comes to the Chung Mu and Yueyang - the Chung Mu looks superior in every single way apart from AA...and we all know thats what destroyers are used for right?

Can someone explain to me the benefits of the t10? xD

- Slightly faster torps with quite a bit more range

- more health

- a lot better firepower on the guns

 

Especially the last one is important in my experience. Chances are that the first Red that’s gonna spot you is another DD. As you can’t use your torpedos against other DD’s the extra firepower on the guns makes quite a difference in a dogfight.

 

Than again, if you avoid other DD’s as much as possible the Chung Mu might arguably be the better torp boat.

No, they are not. You have 1 more gun and faster base reload. But in my opinion they also are more accurate.

Chung Mu: 5 x 1, 18 rounds p/m

Yueyang: 3 x 2, 20 rounds p/m

 

plus the Yueyang has 2 x 2 front facing, which means you can go bow in and still have 4 barrels firing.

The Yueyang just doesnt seem anywhere near what an upgrade from T9 > 10 is supposed to be

Which dd line has an upgrade from 9 to 10 that is so significant? Maybe Khaba, but idk what else.

Same for the usn line in my opinion. I'd rather have a Fletcher than a gearing. Too bad clan battles don't allow the Fletcher. 

I also prefer the Z46 gun layout over the z52. The only reason why I use the z52 more is because of the superior hydro. Other than that one thing I prefer the Z46 as well.

The T9 PA is epic. So much torp striking power and nice concealment too.

 

Don't forget the T10 PA DD is a very compact ship. It's significantly smaller than the Gearing.

 

I'm about to get a 19 point PA captain and I've got to decide which ship to keep. Likely to be the T10 one as I've still got a Lo Yang trainer at T8.

 

I prefer Z52 over the Z46. I'm finding front facing guns are better, although German DDs are meh due to pretty poor HE vs other DD. Their AP is stupendous however.

I haven't reached Yueyang yet but the Chung Mu is an absolute beauty. 

 

Stock Chung Mu (or maybe with upgraded torps):

 

Z52 is a better DD than Z46 IMO. Good guns, you can torp spam like there is no tomorrow and the best cap fighter thanks to the hydro. I've only fought 11 battles with her, all victories. I feel aprehension every time I go to battle with her, for fear of losing the 100% WR
