OMG! This was released on WoWs YouTube channel just few moments ago.

 

Yea I know, some of us had the opportunity to check it out ahead on ST server (had great fun in the past weeks) but I didn't expect it to get out so quickly. Anyway, I hope you will love this update as much as we do and feel free to post about how much you are excited!

Yeah, imagine the possibilities. Now, any island bottleneck, capture point can become a trap. Should really add to the tactical depth of the game.

 

Insert teeth grinding from BB drivers here :D

Aiming is still problematic, it is obvious the engine wasn't really thought out for underwater operations. Also the damage model is crazy for anything under the waterline, you can never know if you do 2-3K of damage or it causes a critical hit and the whole ship just goes under.

Agreed, but biggest problem is the air supply right now. It forces you to emerge too often and once you do it, you have no chance if there is any enemy in range.

But with the air supply modul you can dive at least longer.

You don't need to surface, but it increases the detection value and it will not be long before some destroyer drops a few charges on your head. In the future, when shells will continue their flightpath underwater, artillery will be a threat as well.

That's why I have emergency dive option and I can avoid shells and depth charges.

That was a nice feature in the game. Especially in the pecious few seconds right before a torpedo hit.
