Wargaming,

 

Please remove the detonations from the game. It's not enjoyable for anyone and is entirely luck based.

 

When you get detonated it feels unfair and random, and when you detonate someone you just feel sorry for them and like you did not earn the kill.

 

They are way too random. If anyone disagrees with what I have said please let me know.

The entire game is luck based. Are your guns gonna have the right dispersion pattern? Are the enemy's? Will you get citadelled or will it bounce? Will it shatter? Cause Fire? Flooding? 

 

At this point you are basically watching a movie that evolves based on how you and 23 other people collectivelly roll dice...

Looks like detonations are getting toned down a bit. A ship can only detonate when it has less than 75% HP left.

Are you playing objective? Do you have a good combat distance to use my guns and armor the best way possible? Can you predict the movement of the enemy ships to be able to hit? Can you use cover? Are you aware of the visual system and know when to engage/disengage? Do you have good positioning? What is about your map awareness? Do you time your consumables well? Can you dodge TB/DD torps? Do you know the advantages and disadvatages of your ship? Are you aware of angling? How about dealing with angling enemies? Do you YOLO and overextend or are you actually using the map & team coordination? How is your captain skilled, does it fit your playstyle (and does it make sense in general)?

Oh yes all those things you have ZERO control over and are pure 100% luck.

People with 60% winrate over 5.000 battles really have to be lucky ones, they should play the lottery.

And all those guys with 40% and less winrate after thousands of battles, just have bad luck. Very much bad luck... and very consistent too... nothing they can do...

Sounds like it going the same way as World of Tanks. A luck based arcade game. Skill and enjoyment gone.

Detonations are a garbage mechanic, to be fair. If one player beats another, it should be because of skill, not because he grazed his ship with 1 HE shell and was lucky enough to detonate his opponent. Detonation flags don't really fix this issue, because you need to be a victim of bad RNG first to even get them. They also need to reduce the RNG on some other things, particularly AP. Six ricochets on a full broadside Pensacola at 8km by a bunch of AP firing 203's means it's getting ridiculous. Relying too heavily on RNG is lazy and bad game design.
