I for one have a warning given for calling a troll out last month blows me out of the water even though I have a high post count in new comer forums... Seems no ex alpha or beta poster will get a look in as we have been around the block too many times.... Anyway good luck with the programme hope it works out.. cherry You only have to check how many of the 'old guard' are either banned or unwilling to post here anymore, due to the toxicity/regime. I changed my last part because it wasn't fair to the majority of moderators here.... Seems that each time a new Mod appears, they go on a hunt for the most innocuous of posts ready to slam an old style BBV hammer.... obviously with English not being [necessarily] their first language, they do not 'get' the humour/irony of many posts and thus an awful lot of people fall foul to these early bird hammer times.... maybe get some more native speakers to moderate as this in fact IS the larger issue here ! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Tell someone he is wrong, even if you base it on facts and they will scream and swear at you, which leads to angry reactions, thus ending in a warning and other stuff sometimes. I wouldn't mind at all to do helping stuff in the forum in english and/or german, but most people are simply not worth the help. Harsh words, but i have gained MAJOR experience in helping in a lot of games and in the Electronic Sports League - its the sad truth. As Jumpa already said, is it gonna be a "Disneyland section with bubbles and ice cream only"? A lot of people need a harsh correction from time to time so they f.e. stop spreading their harmful opinions about "ship xyz being too op" or "please nerf ships class xyz so i must not actually try understand this game to win with my ships" - the good players are getting more and more sick about the vast amount of players doing ego trips, thus ruining battles and forum discussions again and again. There is no need for more politeness, there is more need for the truth. And the truth hurts a lot for those who think they can do what they want, even if its "only" a game. Excluding people who got a warning in the last year does not give you more quality, it gives you more apple polishers. In the end, its obviously WG's decision - not that i am in any way eligible for this stuff anyway - but i really really hope they take people into consideration that do not only see this community through pink glasses. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I suppose it will help with toxicity of some posts so people learn to be critical without insulting everyone. On the other hand it might also filter out every critical post and make it so only praising posts remain. Somehow this possible problem should be avoided, though I can't quite see how. Considering that there are independent countries with their forums, I dont see why it is so big problem to give us section for 5 countries who speak almost same language.... Creating a forum for WG isn't just "let's go into the forum admin arrea and create a forum for them" They need moderators, a community manager thingy for this region and also somone for translating every announcment and so on. It might sound easy but this would take a while to create something like this. Even if they would say yes we are doing it would mean they wouldn't be able to do it before they don't have the moderators or the community responsible dude... I would prefere having one topic for each language... would be kinda hard though having 4 diffrent community discussing at the same time diffrent things in 4 diffrent languages. But I think thats more a thing which needs to be placed in the modder section then. It's not a 100% thing anyway right? Still room to imrpove it right?
