why is nelson for free xp?

whats the reason? i can understand missouri at t9 being for free xp but why nelson? why british bb line cant have a split at t7 between nelson and kgv both leading to monarch? or if wg wants to earn money from her, why not just put her into the shop?

 

frankly i dont like concept of free xp ships other than on T9+. im not playing that much and free xp is very valuable commodity for me. i would rather unlock that ship or simply buy her

Also u can use money aswell to buy her basicly? Just use the money to exchange the XP from other ships to FreeXP:cap_book:

It also encourages players to buy Doubloons with which to convert elite xp to free xp in order to do so, and/or buy containers with a chance of providing Doubloons and/or free xp itself.

 

But, y'know.

Each time you have a question "Why?" - at first answer "Why not?"

Don't have a good answer for the 2nd one? That's your reasoning for the 1st one.

Works vice versa aswell, of course, whichever of them is asked 1st.

Reason that's all the more idiotic considering that there's still a 15" > 14" > 15" gap in the branch, and the very next branch (PA DDs) was so wildly inconsistent in terms of caliber that it became comedy.

Free-XP-ships were introduced to reduce the tons of free xp that lots of long-playing-players gathered, as these used to skip lines completely to TX.

I don't think that Free-XP ships are a bad idea - quite apart from anything else, they provide a couple of premiums that everybody can (in theory) get, regardless of their financial position.

 

Of course, you do get the periodic grinds (such as the current DoY, or recent Vampire) which do a similar job, but the Free-XP ones are available all the time.

I'd actually quite like to see something similar in WOT too (not that I have a surfeit of Free-XP there to get them with)...

Because a A-B-C style turret setup is to compliacted and advanced for the average WoWS player to handle as a standar tech tree ship, thus it is available for players that can earn free XP i.e. the non sucky players.

People made a big stink because she was removed from the regular tree and turned into a premium, so WG decided to make her a free XP ship to dampen the backlash.

Oh noes. WG made a premium that can be obtained by people who play the game regularly WITHOUT spending money. Where's my pitchfork.

I have a friend in WoT with over 6 million free xp collected in garage. He is not using free xp to get tier 10, he play every level.

In here, you can do something with that free xp. Don`t know if in airplanes game can do something with free xp.

Isn't a free xp ship better than a doubloon ship?

Why aren't you complaining about Leningrad, Blyskawica, Sims, Indianapolis, Atlanta, Ashitaka, Scharnhorst, Hood, Saipan and Kaga for example? You can't unlock them neither.

Free xp ships can at least be unlocked without spending any money. I actually like that distribution channel a lot, can't wait to get a destroyer or cruiser for my free xp. :)

Reward for regular players kinda make sense...although it means no nelson for me for a looong time

 

But i think she would fit the tree very well. After elisabeth people would have a choice if they want to stay with slower ship but with bigger guns - nelson, or if they want speed already even with smaller caliber - kgv...then both would lead to the monarch

I'm still curious why WG didn't give the option of customizing the ship (be it as camo or extra research and "buy for gold" modules) to give players the possibility to mod the existing ships as their respective sisters.

 

You could even go so far and say, if you mount the "Rodney" Module for the "Nelson" it gets uptiered, or if you mount the "Musashi" Module on "Yamato" it gets downtiered... but I guess that would require some engine overhaul.
