The start off, I think the torpedo is best-working weapon of all weapons in all WG games. It hits when it's supposed to, it does the damage it promises 99% of the time, it simply works. GZ for doing something really well! If anything, I'd ask for an even meatier/juicier sound effect when it hits its mark! I don't consider torpedoes with range lower than 10 km that interesting, imo they should all have ranges from 10km to 15km. Thank you also for giving a few pan-asian DD's proper ranges (10,5 km and 13,5km), it's great to have something exciting to grind after a long wait.
My actual question: How will you utilize this success further? As I think it's a great idea to keep doing/building on things that are working, I'd kindly ask to further tune some of the existing torpedoes and keep experimenting more! The deepwater torpedo is a huge success in my opinion. Could you fix the Shimakaze with that? Currently, it feels that even my mother could dodge any type and amount of Shimakaze torpedoes with any ship -> it was slightly overnerfed back in the day and the latest small buff on the 12 km torp detection range wasn't enough, I think. It still takes massive luck and incompetence on the receiving party to score any hits. Could you play around with Shima torpedo damage or flooding chance/effect strength for example, or some other values, to allow deadlier detection ranges with decent torpedo speeds? Maybe even make the ship itself worse by tinkering with her main guns or the engine if you have to, but somehow get us working torpedoes! I don't even care about the smoke generator or engine boost that much, working torpedo weapon would be way more important. The Gearing however has been completely fine all the time. At the very least, I hope you will try saving Shima with deepwater torpedoes, at least that's the rumor I've heard. Regardless of deepwater torps for Shima, it's still a shame to have other torpedo options that are not very fun or exciting to use.
I also think it would be totally fine to limit the number of DD's in the same match by whatever value you like. It's totally fine to wait a while to get into a match, if it's gonna be a good one.
