Aftvent calendar event - how do you complete more missions?

Like the title said, how do you complete more aftvent calendar combat missions when there are none available?

It’s one mission per day, which runs for 24 hrs. You can’t do more than one mission per day. It’s an exercise in playing at least 15/20 days over the holidays.

I did the first two days with no problem but I was only able to get one citadel (if only the missions counted as well) mainly due to lack of cruisers in the games.  I did complete the fourth day with no problems.
