here is poll for what i think is most hated map ingame.

 

personally i hate it so much... i find domination barely passable on it.

My fingers have been itching to make a forum thread about this joke of a map for a long long time...

The map has horrible desing, I can not recall a single battle I enjoyed on this map, but I can sure as hell remember some really horrible games on this map, not to mention the battles I had when this thing was put in the rotation for maps in ranked... Even if we manage to win the game on the map I end up as frustrated as if we had lost it.

In my opinion the map should be removed immediately asap, even with a micropatch if neccesairy. Then the devs can take their time to think about how they can rework it, or remove it completely (I doubt anyone would miss it).

The map encourages long range sniping and horrible gameplay in general.

"Tears of the desert is my favourite map!!!" - said no1 ever...

I remember one enjoyable game on this map. It was Epicenter, in a Taiho, where I capped the center to completion.

It simply needs to close the huge gap between island chains, allow DDs and Cruisers to be aggressive without throwing away their lives.

It's barely tolerable in a DD, dull in a BB and a nightmare in cruisers of any tier. Total campfest most of the time.

I'd be happy if it was gone as it's just downright awful.

Just recently WG has been active on reddit asking about maps and their deficiencies.

They are evaluating the responses now and it looks like tears might be the first one to be changed, as most replies included it as a bad map.

Tears of the desert just needs to be completely removed, the map is in so bad a shape it can't be fixed.

NBever had a problem on this map but for epicentre.  I hate epicentre on any map.

Came here to make a thread about this abomination of a map only to discover I was beaten to it.

 

Tears of the Desert is a bigger joke than Donald Trump (who knew that was possible?) and more universally despised.

Standard and epicenter should be removed, domination is OK. 

5 camping sniping BBs per team makes this map awful.

The map itself is just boring and dull. Epicenter as a game mode is not perfect, but it's alright. The problem is that you can't move anywhere without getting shot at by 90% of the enemy team, so you use the only cover you have, which is located at your base...

 

Honestly Ocean is a more agressive and fun map than this piece of crap.

Jeah that map and especially with epicenter is just ruining my mood every time.

Always when i see that loading screen and the gamemode written near the clock i am very tempted to impulsive press Alt+F4.

Recently i had a game on it with my Khaba where i had to perform a tabledance in the center circle while my nearest ally was a BB in the most outer 3. circle behind those islands. (And no i wasn't the only DD in my team)

The enemyteam wittled some visable ships down and then pushed, with obvious results. And i could only watch my team retreating further North to the A and B line....

I stopped playing for the day after that match....

Yesterday I had the Ocean map five times in a row... *Edited

With potato teams it was horrible.

 

I wouldnt mind having Ocean removed completely aswell.

The map itself I very much like. I love the looks of it and I don't mind open maps. Also like Ocean very much for that matter. It's only epicenter on this map I despise. No problem with the epicenter game mode. It's just the combination on Tears.

To be honest, Epicenter is the only game mode I like on this map. It took me a long time to figure that out though, and I absolutely understand why people do not like it at all.

And I'm quite certain they will. Otherwise why would they ask for feedback?

You don't start a public project just to drop it later on.

Tears, in common with a fair few of the higher tier maps, is simply miserable for cruiser play as there is no cover to work with and the accurate and devastating volleys from BB's at the tiers where these maps are played obliterate cruisers at long range.

Sure as a DD player I have uninterrupted torpedo lines, but some people by that tier have learned WASD hacks.

 

Oddly I rather like Ocean, but only in a team that has the guts to push as a group rather than try to camp at max range, with campers it's lousy.
