Hystoric Swastika-painting and flag as a mod is forbidden but Hammer and Sickle is added by the devs?

you know how many civilian people died under the hammer and sickle worldwide right?  the deathcount of Nazi-Germany is laughable small compared to that.

 

Why are the Insignias of one Terror-Organisation "good" and "ok" (Hammer Sickle) in WoWs and two are banned and "bad" (Swastika and JPN Rising Sun).   IMO thats hypocratic!

I just got a 1st Strike Warning, but i only use the same mods i've used forever, all of which are in Aslains modpack, and SweetFX/ReShade.

The warning didn't specify anything, and i have little to no idea what could have triggered this, as i have absolutely never used any illegal mods ever!

 

"We have detected that prohibited World of Warships client modifications have been used on this account. Please refrain from using any forbidden modifications in the future. Repeat violations will first lead to a temporary suspension of a violating player's account, and, subsequently, to a permanent ban should a violation be detected again."

 

I mean, what in the hell.. Afraid to even open my game again, and i'm not playing mod-less!

Same me, got email 1st Strike Warning !!?? And i'm not using ANYTHING (legal or illegal) not at all. Maybe some player was upset that i sunk his/her ship and decide to report me ??

Wargaming should make a list of approved mods for all players.

because it can be easily used to do more than enhancing the color, and the game cannot detect for what the external program is used so it has to be banned

Bin ebend aus einem Gefecht raus und im Hafen wurde mir angezeigt das ich "Angeblich" mods benutzen würde!

Wo is das Kind was ich Gekillt habe und sich nun bei einem Mod Ausheult?

Meinetwegen soll WG Sämtliche Mods bzw Modpacks verbieten ist mir egal, ich nutze und brauch diesen mist eh nicht!

I just finished a battle to port and got a message saying I would use an illegal mod and that it is the first strike of 3.

The problem is: I stopped using any mods, even aslains modpack, a year ago when the situation was so unclear. So my mod folder has just one empty folder inside. I am even quite certain I did a fresh install during the last year, so there shouldn´t be any remaining >1 year old mod files of aslain.

Now I am really uncertain what the reason could be!?

yup got it today to, warning for using forbidden mods to do forbidden stuff. Not sure if I should laugh or cry, seriously today was a horrible day and obviously it will not end anytime soon.

I already posted a ticket, but well ... at least I could do something else well cya folks

I got a similarly obscure message today  - nothing more than a vague warning with no detail on what the supposed "Illegal" mod is - I run Aslains (which is all hunky-dory and on this very forum) for almost a year now, without any issues... it's worrying.

Submitted a Support Ticket - was interested to discover that you cannot actually "appeal" a "first strike" warning as there is no way to do so via support... so had to go via "forum or chat ban".

And then found this thread - where numerous reports and questions appear to have been completely ignored... so @MrConway how about some help on this matter?

 

"Funny thing is..." I went to report somebody for TKing me yesterday and went to get the replay of the game when I discovered my replays were not there... at all. None, not even the default 30.
Did some digging on the forum and found a "Replays Tool" by WeeGee - followed the install instructions for that and ran it in the game folder... played a game or two and ended session, checked replays folder - nothing there still - Did another search and found a much more recent version of the "WoWs Replay Tool" - so installed that - still didn't work - ah well, I'll fix it tomorrow.

Very next time I log in I get this "Illegal mod" notice.  hmmmmmmm

Then in this thread, there is a post with a link to "WGCheck" program - no info on it or what it does.... but ran it anyway.....  and its "report" shows a bucket load of old MOD files still linked to the program files... nothing obviously dodgy about them, I just don't use them anymore (mxstat, wowsrelams, MMM etc).

So I figure - wipe the entire game and re-install... which is what I am doing.

However, I still intend to run mods - I'm too old and stupid to play this game without some of them (win timer, navigator, ships stats) - however, they are all "legal" mods from within Aslains mod-pack AND the official Mod-Pack - the "thing is" though - as WeeGee won't say what the supposedly illegal Mod was... how am I supposed to know what I can run and what I cant run?

I also note that on the US forums there are people who don't run any mods who have received the same warnings (also see above), and one guy who got the warning 2 seconds after he started the game after a clean wipe and re-install (with zero mods).
That strongly suggests an automated system is in place that's looking at the game folder for any extraneous dlls or other programs (*hint hint* such a WoWs Replays) or other widgets and automatically issues a ticket/warning - hence the reason that ticket's message is also so very, very obscure.

Following that thread, and others on here (EU) and elsewhere it appears that WeeGee promised in the past to make the messages less obscure and more helpful, but that was over a year ago and it seems nothing has been done since then to improve matters, combined with the above aspect of "automated warnings" I'm unimpressed and hesitant to even play the game atm .... and would like some clarification before I get a 2nd strike for running legitimate authorised WG Mods (or other WG program/s).

I contacted support and they gave me check and all green, but I sen that message with my eye ( left is nearly dead after some F* UP disease, live is tough place :D ).

For F**K sake I even randomly sending screenshots to support if some people really I mean really REALLY cross the line with mean words.

 

No matter ...we will see what's gonna happen. Some people suggest it have something to do with VGA drivers update, I em not sure if this is really tah case but the weird thing is that all of thous folks have ATI card ... me to R 380 MSI Gamer edition. I really hope tha WG dot make some devil pacts with nVidia

Sorry for being paranoid but lately nVidia really making questionable moves to get the upper hand over ATI,  forced optimization,   patents tha actually block another VGA developer groups, tha whole carnival around Final Fantasy.

Well, I got a reply from support that sent me to a WGMods website with World of Tanks mods on it...and they told me to check that all of my mods were on that website.

Yes, you did read that correctly - they told me to check that all of my mods were on  "Mod Portal - World of Tanks".

So...   I then sent support a list of my Mods, asking them which one was the "Illegal" one...

They sent me a link to the World of Tanks Fair play policy.

You cant make this up.

I got replay in a sense that was some false alarm yet I em advice to don't use any mods at all.

Not really sure If I even want to play a game without my kancole shenanigans.

After three years of casual playing still can t get above average in all stats and I like my game in a kinda lightened way, you know manga chicks captains, Duken Nukem voice packs ( apex of awesomeness )

 

I don't even use Aslain offered angling indicator or any visual mods, still, the vanilla game kinda shudl have options like binocular borders on or off.

 

Yes I em fully aware of warp pack but seriously folks thous rascals want about 15 bucks monthly LoL ( do not worry folks  I never even think about even try that, a ban is one thing but an empty credit card is another, be careful theas days about what you gonna instal on your PC )

 

Sometimes I think it gonna be beast if WG simply add some of this cheat in a game and it gonna be over and peace people gone get more exp and probably spend more coins to free exp conversion,

but another hand players will exp faster and that could endanger game in term of WG pockets, they are a company so they must protect their interest, nothing bad about that.

 

BUT ... back in NAVY FIELDS 1 day we have choice manual aim and trust me it was a nightmare that game used manual elevation control OR auto aim and when you used auto aim RNG finder well you can NOT get above average stats.

Maybe it was gone be for the beast, Unicorn folks they gonna stay Unicorns and bad folks gonna get an average.

 

A few months back I was in typical random, one early sunked fellow geta all acid on chat ... it was actually pretty bad. So bad that I check his stats, well folks at was a disaster ( yes he is brave to don't make in private I give him that )

6k battles and numbers were deep red. Can you imagine how people like him must-see WOWS, yes he should get the medal for being the trier, but I think this isn't right ( yes I know right to equality is in fact weapon of mass destruction )

 

can we have some small league random or option to chose other mods like 6 VS 6, not just thous runs or seasons.

I received an email with a warning, but I don't even use mods... Can WG tell me what 'hack' is in my version then? At least I didnt do anything with it
