I been trying to follow my fleet for protection but they move away from me like iam the worst ever to be Close, i tried to hide, that works sometimes but usally other cv finds me and sinks me, is there really a Point to play this shitty class?

Really wanna play it becasue when it goes good and i sink the other cv first i like it alot, but iam almost Always alone becasue the ship are slow and ppl dont wanna be near me, i ask for Escort but noone replys, happend once or twice someone has helped me out but thats extremly rare. So far this CV class is so boring, its a game of find the other cv first and hope to god i can sink it Before he sinks me and really is that the Point i can just throw in the gloves on this class forever. My attack planes wont help becasue the are stuck with the cv attack plane so the torp planes just fly by and nuke my cv. Now i only been playing lower tiers and i really really hope this gonna be better at higher tiers.. Gonna free xp to tier 10 and hope theres better teamplay there... So you guys with higher tiers, is it same for you or do ppl actully Escort and take care of cv´s?

you know a game is lost when your own CV decides to hunt the enemy CV right at the start of the battle...hunting the enemy CV is NOT the task of a CV...

I think you should learn the basics of how to CV, before proceeding further into high tier CVs.

Pro tip: above tier7 sinking the other CV simply not worth it because of it's defensive AA.

Well.. Like others already said initial CV strike is not that good idea. Sometimes it can be and maybe you can consider it in 2CV games to get upperhand but even then you have to sink one of them with one strike. Wasting another throws away valuable time and if you dont sink the cv, only damage, strike is useless.

So there is no easy way of just sink enemy CV ans then free reign. In most cases you just have to play against enemy planes.

Really? I havent found that many CV strikers lately. Its hard and takes a lot of CV time to do. Thats why its usually better to strike other targets.

Well if thats not so bad idea why iam Always getting target by cv first 5 min into the game... i would love to go with my fleet and help them out, get faster reolads when my cv is closer to fleet and so on, but my fleet evades me and cv targets me

How about using your fighters to destroy his planes before he can sink you? You can also skill your ship and captain for having more AA.

Nope, they will laugh even more at your snipe attempts while the enemy CV sinks half your team and wins.

Rarely.

They don't. Why should they waste their time standing next to you doing nothing to protect a ship that is easily able to protect itself? If any ship escorts you while you try to snipe the enemy CV, your team has 2 useless ships on the field. That's not how you win games.

Because they are newbs just like you.

As mean as that sounds, it's good that you actually come to the Forum and ask for advice, not many players do that, unfortunately. Now you just have to do what we say :cap_like:

Well i do try to use my attack planes to attack the torp planes but his attack planes attack mine so then they are stuck to eachother while his torp planes fly by and nuke me.

I dont engage the CV first but i can tell right away when i see his torp planes go by my allies then hes searching for me and 2 min´s later hes on my cv torping it.

So when i find players that isnt noobs they will leave my CV alone?

For now its kinda hard for me cuz the other cv goes after me right away and if hes lucky iam not in the game longer then 3 min or so...

Cant do much for my team if iam upsidedown in the water...

Even if that small map with the circle cap they go for me, then i have to trick there attack plane into follow my torp planes into my allies so my attackplane can lock them there so my allies AA helps out, once the attack plane is gone i swipe the torps and bomb plane away then i Hoover Close to the cv so when he launches a plane my attack plane take it down.

You will know that. Scout with your fighters and if you dont see any enemy attack aircraft (torp planes, bombers) around you know its coming for you first. At that point get your fighters to defend your carrier. You can send your torp planes to strike something to that side of map where enemy cv fighters arent. You dont necessary need to escort them with fighters.

How do they sink you? Do you move or stay at spawn non-moving? Many players even much higher tiers think they are airports. No, you are a cv, you can and should move. Which CV was that in your screenshot? Langley? You have better fighters and more of them than Hosho. But as a ship you are slow. Very slow. So is the next one Bogue. In many cases you simply cant keep up with your team because of your speed.

You can also manouver to avoid torps. You dont need to sail in straight line and let Hosho autodrop at will since manual drops start at T6. If you turn towards his planes instead of eating 5-6/8 and sinking you might eat 2 and live. You just have to focus if the strikes is coming and manouver with our ship instead of focusing anything else.

You really witness this at much higher tiers. Experience can be harsh. You try to snipe full AA Lexington when you notice its strikeloadout aka no fightets. Very very stupid idea. Was it Strangers who got Clear Sky with Lex using strikeloadout. Enemy CV just kept feeding planes and Lex AA just says nom nom.:cap_cool:

Or the other scenario. No enemy strike in sight, send fighters close to own ship, get detected from air, spot enemy strikeforce, fighters there, one strafe from rear and they are all gone. How smart was that. Took 2-3 min to fly them there, shot all down, no damage done, half your strikeplanes dead, new squad re-arm takes another couple minutes. Well spent 5 first minutes. In that time capable CV has made 1-2 strikes and followups, done +50k damage...

I use the Langley and Zuiho both have a 10 captian and fully uppgraded.

iam Always moveing, never stand still, and i try to aviod the torps, been playing BB most of the time so i got some exp dodging torps in a slow ship, sometimes i works sometimes it dont.

Nice with manuell dropping, i read a guide that was from 2015 and pressing alt i could manuell drop, but i tried so i figured that they removed that from game since it was such a old thread, then i have something to look forward to :P

According to your stats you have Kaga which as T7 ship has manual drops...

I dont fully agree on WG decision to remove manual drops and strafing from lower tiers. Now you have to learn it later. I remember my early days with Hosho. Few unicum players did some serious sealclubbing with excellent captains. Couple strafes and I've lost all of my strikeplanes.

It does take a lot of time and games. CVs are clearly the most demanding shiptype. No-one masters them over night.

Yes the kaga, i bought that becasue i wanted to try Cv when first started to play for about 2 weeks ago and didnt wanna waste XP on research a cv, played a few games in pve and did pretty good, got like 5 kills and alot of dmg done, so i tried pvp and got ham[edited] hard and felt like it wasnt for me and sold the ship. Now i do it right way and read a few guides, play the tiers longer and dont use free exp, i use the ships exp to research next ship. So when i had the kaga i didnt know anything about cv’s and its a good ship but i wont buy it agian untill i learn to play properly

Lel, selling a Prem ship. You better contact Support now and ask for it to be reinstated or that's a very expensive right click you've just done...

Wouldnt say iam rich and i read all the rewievs of the premiums ships before i bought them but when i had them i didnt like them, the only 2 premium i have is warspite and arizonas. But now i dont buy premium ships becasue there isnt any ship out there that i wanna try, i tried Alabama, kaga, murmansk, atago, tierpitz also but didnt enjoy them so why have them around if iam not gonna play them :)

Seriously, you've paid money for Prem ships and you've sold them for credits!?!

You have under 500 battles, you might want to use them again in the future...

1) You might come to like them

2) They are brilliant Credit-makers

3) They are very useful to train and re-train captains

4) You paid real money for them and buying them again will cost you real money as well.

Well you should L2P CV, top CV players don't have your problems. Also about other ship classes you really should L2P at lower tiers first starting with the basics such as angling, knowing your ship and other ships, WASD'ing and so on.

About premium ships you do what you want with your money but they are the best credit makers.......
