[1UP] Ectar_ Alpha Tester, Players 676 posts 922 battles Report post #1 Posted March 26, 2015 Ok guys we need to clarify a few things here: 1 - The best chances for any player to get access is to sign up whenever the portal page is open, or to sign up for the news letter. Even when portal sign ups are closed we are still taking in groups of players who have signed up for the newsletter 2 - Please don't message Wargaming Staff via PM asking for a Closed Beta Key. This includes forum PM's and contact via fansites like reddit. We are not giving out CBT Keys to individual players this way as that becomes a ridiculous system to manage and our mailboxes would get quickly flooded. Some keys may be given to YouTubers or Twitch streamers to distribute but that comes from us contacting those players after we've been checking out their content (And we have a huge list of people we're watching). We don't want people to use the fact they're giving away beta keys to be the sole reason they attract an audience - Already some people have becoming reliant on this and when their allocation of keys is gone, they're immediately asking for more. I'm afraid we don't have an unlimited supply of keys to support this. We know there is a huge interest in the game and in getting access to the game but you have to remember there is only a limited amount of server slots and it's intentional that not everyone can play right now (That's one of the main points of a "closed" beta test). 3 - Please stop asking/begging other players for keys, saying you'll pay for them, or filling every thread with things like "Huh, at least you have access, I've been trying for XXXX" "Why didn't I get access and XYZ did?" etc etc - There is more people NOT in the Beta than there is is IN the Beta. This means players who are not in CBT make up the majority. We know it sucks to the people that don't have access but constantly being a negative element in threads to just make a point you don't have access right now, doesn't help anyone. If players continue to make posts like that, all that will happen is your post will be deleted. The game will be free to play on launch, before that we will have an Open Beta Test, none of your progress from Closed Beta will transfer into the live version. 33 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

But to my surprise i didn't receive any notification when that opened some days ago?? Question: Why subscribe if it is to no good? I feel a bit let down because of that and if that is the WG policy?... Well i guess i won't give it a try again, even after it's release... I, personally, have been waiting for a chance for years. Ectar, I'm curious if you've considered contacting some WoT or WoWP testers for invitations. I'm just curious. He/She answered the following: If you already subscribed( Which you can do here: http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/ ) on the world of Warships page, the only thing left to do is to wait and hope to be part of the next lucky players who will receive a beta key. =)We will soon accept more players to enter the Closed Beta Test, so you should check regularly your email box. your spam folder as well, sometimes it goes straight in it.I'd also suggest to check the forums, the twitter account of World of Warships (https://twitter.com/WorldofWarships or https://twitter.com/Wargaming_netEN) and the events streamed (mostly from twitch). Some of our streamers have some "giveaway beta key" that they might give to the viewers .=) Those are the official ways to get in the BETA. Links and text errors corrections is made by me. Which literally translates to: "Those who ask, are skipped." They make a profit for signing multiple emails and then getting a spare beta key. They rip off allot of players who want to get into the testing faze. One of my mates spent 100£ on a beta key because he got desperate. Maybe people who distribute them should get a punishment for making a profit of a beta?
