but afaik this does NOT link the account to steam. You cannot use steam money to buy something, get steam achievements etc...

can u unlock achievement with this?

Nope. No achievements and no Steam store usability should be possible with this "workaround".

You can't link your Steam and Wargaming accounts.

Wargaming's greed strikes again.

It seems they more are interested in new player influx rather than existing ones otherwise they would have made login available for existing players as well.  The workaround is null considering :

1) You won't get any achievements

2) You will do the workaround often (it is a game that is frequently updated)

3) You can't use your steam wallet.

etc.

WG you are so stupid.

Other games are on steam as well and you can login with your existing account. Wonder how they managed to do it.  Just to eliminate "It was because of steam laws" rule. No it was Wargaming's greed.

You could also add the wows game to steam by adding non-steam game to library. It wont link the accounts but Friends will see when you play wows.

Edit: This also mean the steam-overlay will work and you can also use the broadcast functions.

How: Click on the "games" tab in steam and then click "Add non-steam game to Library", you'll get a list of programs to add and you'll find it there.
