Battleships - what am I missing?

i actually find that battleships become less interesting to play as you uptier, its all down to your playing style.

you have the most HP and armour, your job is to get shot.

you have the most insane Alpha damage of any ship, your job is to shoot and hit.

lower tiers (fuso excepted) tend to suffer quite alot from terrible dispersion, making it harder to reliably hit a cruiser or DD, but when you do its pretty spectacular.  at higher tiers the accuracy just increases, along with your skill level.

imho, any battleship not moving eventually to close quarters is utterly wasting its potential and failing its team.

lower tier battleships really start to dominate if you manage to close to around the 10km or less mark,, though their lack of maneuvering does make them vulnerable to a DD or torp launcher, skill should compensate there.

if you're not squeamish about being shot, bb's are definately the way to go ^^
