Normally, I'm bad in cruisers. But here, I got more base XP by a comfortable margin than the player placed first(!) on the winning team. I just experienced a hilarious moment in a Kitakaze battle. Please take a look at the number of "Flesh wound" achievements and my total sinkings here. Indeed, I had launched torpedoes towards the damaged red carrier and got sunk shortly afterwards. But the Vittorio Veneto drove close to his mate, colliding with him by the look of it. [-IAN-] IanH755 Players 2,100 posts 7,141 battles Report post #21439 Posted January 15 [Operations] - A nice Atlanta game where I concentrated on the DD's and left the cruisers (mostly) to the BB's on my team, but those Akizuki's in the Harbour at the end with their firepower are certainly something to make the heart pump faster. and I'm also starting to see this type of game happen more and more now, with only 2 people carrying a whole team with 5 out of 7 having <1000xp which is what I consider to be a "minimum" requirement when your playing against Bots and win. 15 hours ago, lup3s said: who needs torps anyway Any chance you could attach the replay for that game, it looks like an absolutely epic!!!! Took a fair bit of damage from the sub (probably responsible for most of the the Dreadnought) while trying to pressure the eastern flank. But fortunately, with Cunningham in command I got an extra heal after my 2nd kill. Tried a few times to get the Okt. R but he went dark ... just as my guns were about to load. Eventually landed a few hits on him though. Pensacola came in from the centre and was too much of a tempting broadside target to not pass up. Towards the end, I was about all that left on the flank with an enemy sub & Mutsuki for company. Thankfully, the rest of the team has secured the opposite cap and started to take the centre one, so we overtook on points. So time to GTFO from there and not die - popped the engine boost and headed towards centre and south of the map away from the torpedo threats. The Mutsuki gave chase and unleashed at least one torp salvo, but he made the mistake of revealing himself so it gave me a chance of predicting where & when torps may be around.
