Last match of the Brest grind, second kraken with her:

I also got a super resource container, with somewhat lackluster 50x200% ship-XP bonus.

I was just about to call it a night, when I checked to see how much FreeXP I needed for Azuma - balance was 998,844.

Maybe a round or two in Killer Whale - I was lucky did it in one match in Nurnburg with 24 FXP to spare. :cap_like:

So now I have my last remaining FreeXP ship.

So after a long time I decided to acquire Colbert - she is a real ship, and quite nice looking as well :) I do know that she is high skill boat, and not everyone can play her, and tbh I'm kinda poor in cruisers. But why not try. So this is my first battle, I chose ranked just not to be focused and citadelled in first 2 mins by too many red BBs.

My team was in disadvantage from the start, as our Stalingrad was a true WOWs silent majority kind of player and just yoloed to the nearest cap, where in front of Ohio and Thunderer (circa 12km) turned around to show them juicy broadside. I will leave it to your imagination what has happened next ;). Our Hayate was no match to Z-52, but thankfully he did manage to take cap before dying. My BB colleagues were a bit hesitant at that point, but managed to sink Zao, and Schlieffen - after initially just hiding behind the island - made a nice yolo defending the cap that I took and obliterated Venezia, before he died he did damage to Ohio and Thunderer as well, so his death was not in vain. All three red BBs advanced into the cap that Hayate took, but we sunk Thunderer that was leading the charge, and red Ohio took out remaining BBs from my team. All that time I was spraying him with shells, and burned him down shortly after. At that point I was alone, GK was about 15 km away and sailing away from cap (strange, he must have known that I have no torps, and no spot as I was the last standing in my team). Still with 7 mins to go I decided to challenge Z-52, correctly assuming that he will go to the nearest cap - we were leading on points and 2 out of 3 caps were green. I put an island behind me and GK and turned on my hydro. Z had to leave the cap, but was spotting me for GK. So I was dancing between torps and AP shells from GK until we won on points. Nice carry at the end :)

First impression - oh boy, this boat is so much fun! Dishes out incredible amount of shells, and agility is great. In randoms I imagine she has to be played very carefully not to get blapped, and open water gunboating will be a challenge (because of shell trajectory), but I will try her out.

Sometimes, you have to do everything, but it's still not enough. note the xp compared to everyone else...

think that will be the last game today.

Luck, luck and more luck...

I had just got myself a Jutland and went on to take it on a ride. I cursed a bit, because the game put me in a T11 game with subs (I've noted an Annapolis and U-2501 on both sides), so I got basically everything, save CV, you're longing for when playing a bottom tier stock destroyer.

I had saved up for some modules, but didn't have the resources for a full equipment (see screenshots for details), and I commissioned a commander in need for training too. Furthermore, I forgot the essential flags, blame me. In sum, I went into battle with some heavy handicaps. (And how can our Wiki say that the torpedo tubes load reasonably fast?! 133 seconds are slow as a snail, when compared to the performance on a Yûgumo or a Fletcher.)

shot-22_07.29_23_50.04-0642.thumb.jpg.26ce8857fe1bef1ffed1d98ac943050c.jpg

Now, the action unfolded. After having gained some intel of the whereabouts of the Reds on the waters of the British Channel, I tried to plot a sensible course, while waiting for my tubes to be loaded. I duly set my sights on an enemy Giuseppe Verdi approaching a capture point, watched his movements for a second or two and emptied my torpedo tubes in the water. Two spreads went on their travel towards the target. While the fishes were speeding through the water, I took one or two glances at them. First, I thought that it would become a miss or at most earn one or two hits and the extremities of the Verdi hull. But for some reason, the red Commander pulled a "Lusitania move" and turned. So, my salvo was presented with a perfect broadside aspect, and Boom! One, two, three... six(!) torpedoes hit. The Giuseppe Verdi travelled on, not any longer on the ocean's surface but rather on his way to do a thorough inspection of the Channel's bottom.

Now, a struggle for a nearby cap unfolded. A red Yamagiri showed up and brewed a fishy Japanese soup. Fortunately, neither I now the friendlies nearby, among those a Shimakaze, were hungry and ate a serving. We rather began to demonstrate some gunfire that made the Yamagiri captain use his smoke.

Hydro on! Closing in, I took some shells but also recced the position of the now stationary Yamagiri in its smoke. His hull was in a bad shape, so the Shimakaze, myself and I guess some allied ships in our rear peppered him with shells. Albeit, while the foe managed to kill our Shimakaze, I sank the Yamagiri with gunfire. Afterwards, I got sunk also by the rearward red ships (Annapolis scored it). But the team still valiantly fought a quite pitched battle.

shot-22_07.29_23_49.35-0583.thumb.jpg.e254f733e30ca07ec5de89dd0f0db59b.jpg

In the end, we began to have the upper hand, with two BB (République and Satsuma) and a CA (Hindenburg) with the remaining DD (Dalarna) slowly pushing towards the two red caps, all this while engaging the enemy Annapolis, the enemy sub and looking for the red Daring. The République fell to the sub, but we still managed to earn a third cap, still being behind in points. The Hindenburg then turned its attention and course towards the last red blotch, D cap. He entered it - and some 20 seconds later, just as we evened the points score, the countdown for the last 10 seconds in game rang out of my speakers...

We won by a margin of 4 (four!) points.

A bit weird to call a flame war an "achievement", but in any case you should hide the nametag better: it's perfectly obvious who that guy is...

Made a loss of credits... We are talking about a great achievement :cap_cool:

Oh yeah, the economy as whole got nerfed. Before 0.11.6, someone on a standard account, in tech tree ships and without any credit booster had to struggle hard to make a net credit loss in a T8 or T9 battle even if on the losing side.

Now, it's quite a common occurrence: playing T8 or T9 and losing the battle equals to a loss of a four to five digit number of credits.

Guess it's time to check whether high tier gaming is still sustainable outside the Killer Whale and Narai weeks and on standard accounts... Maybe Bayern, Gneisenau and some other T6 or T7 are to be dusted off and suicided if uptiered by +2?

I won't ever specifically buy premium time. If I'll use real money, then it'll only be on licenses to use game items, ships or maybe commanders.

I'm loving Yeuyang since the rework, it's a beast, and has put my LM Gearing, Halland and Daring back in Port.

The "ONLY" time cap contesting went badly was vs a Ragnar with Survivability Expert, he had 15k more health (mine's currently only on 18,500), and even then I took more health of him than he did to me.

Shimi's used to be a Thorn, not any more I hunt Shimi's for fun, running Radar Yewey most DD's are dead meat,  and laughably A LOT of fellow Yewey players use smoke.

A word of warning to all Shimi players and smoke sitters; within 2 days I'll have a 20 pointer in my Yewey, who will then have SE =  22,000 HP.

ANOTHER good day personally, yep the same sight of total idiots who couldn't command a dingy, but you expect that in WOWS.

2 pics from my last Ranked game of the day, "ANOTHER" top position.

And yep the usual star player and clearly worst player in the team stands out.
