As a last standing ship vs 2 dds on the end, had to cap, then defend caps, killed Shima and nearly killed Halland but game ended by victory on points. These are the stats: What doesn't show up is the impact that different parameters had. Firstly, the presence of carriers: with Yugumo (using TRB all the time both in her and Shiratsuyu) in particular, around half the losses were with CVs and most of the victories without them. Secondly, the number and type of DDs: the more the merrier (more chances of getting First Blood, and I scored many), as long as the reds didn't have Kitakazes in Silver. Plenty of Mogadors too, but they weren't played that well: I outgunned about a handful of them in kiting actions, sometimes even after me being crippled by a previous encounter. Thirdly, the cruiser-to-battleship ratio: more BBs (quite the number of matches with only destroyers and them) usually led to static roflstomps, while more CAs resulted in dynamic gameplay. Lastly, the degree of communication: active, non-toxic chat meant way better chances of winning but it was rare, so plenty of times I found myself typing alone. Fortunately, even without the back-and-forth, people often did listen to what I said and acted accordingly, focusing the ships I signalled as having used their DCPs.
