It was very refreshing to say the least. I was doubting if I somehow suddenly started playing way worse. Then I reached Harugumo, got my 24000 RP, bought a Slava Spoiler Then while playing with Slava got 2 200K damage games and 1 190K damage game out of 8. I'm absolutely in love with this ship. It has been the most satisfying ship to play for me. Everyone in a radius of 25 km has to respect your guns or else they instantly get punished, always. It is extremely reliable. When you go out of your way to create crossfires and people respect your guns, they have to disrespect your teammates' guns so they get killed either way. It's just awesome. I'm definitely considering her for my next RB ship. My Shikishima used to be a beast at sniping with Dead Eye: 15k-25k salvoes in the match opening were common. We also won the battle. I did some checking... for possible distants (which is something you may have noticed I like to do in connection with naval service). There were a lot of those 'distants' of mine in the navy at the time, and Varyag isn't an exception. My 14c2r was the junior navigation officer, Alexei von Nieroth. He died in the battle aged only 21. My 7c5r, Yevgeny von Berens was the senior navigator. He survived, as did the commander, Admiral Vsevolod Rudnev who isn't a blood relative of mine, but he was my first cousin once removed's wife's second cousin thrice removed's wife's brother's wife's brother (I know... He originally came with a rental of Graf Spee when I started WoWs just over a couple of years ago. Then a couple of months later, when a rental of Scharnhorst came along, he served aboard there. Now he spends his time commanding Bismarck & Aegir though recently has found the opportunity to chase down destroyers and cruisers in Weimar.
