T10 matchmaking, Franklin Lolcarrier infested game with Martel that has only range upgraded. Drive forward, wake up when I see 3 overmatch battleships, Azuma, Stalingrad and Yoshino. Look at this minimap. Im an anchorage in the middle of the map, and i have 0 ships in range. Thats already 6 minutes in, went to C first, and enemies started immediately kiting. Never got into range. Turned into B, eneimes park behind A... At some point, they moved into our spawn, so i could shoot something, but game ended with me getting 67k damage. Just boring. But where should i go actually? South of B? Cleveland and Tallinn radar, everyone could shoot me, there is a CV. Closer to A? still Tallinn radar, also no friendlies as backup, and covering 2-3km distance is no issue, and my smoke doesnt last forever anyway. Later with Ibuki, i touched into this hornets nest 5 BBs on one spot - imagine being an Asashio *drool* Went into D to hope i could shoot them from behind an island - they ran away even further. I just kept rushing them at some point because they wouldnt hit me anyway. Its just really boring at times playing Cruisers. IF you have no range - nothing you can do about it. Kudos to the red Roon who went for the ram, because that ensured the Kraken (there was also the possibility of killing him while staying alive, earning a Dreadnought too, but the turret rotation and reload might not have been enough for that), the damage and the XP. On top of that, there's something else that makes the battle quite special, but you'll have to watch the replay for that: Spoiler Ranked battles also went quite well. Starting with Somers, 3 victories in a row, then one defeat losing star and another keeping it, what I took as an omen for switching to something else: radar Minotaur. And sure it worked: another hat-trick streak. If I previously got a First Blood, 6-kills Kraken, this time it was High Caliber plus Double Strike (and +3 karma): Spoiler Salute. EDIT: Man, I'm really tired, in the Musashi battle I already had the Kraken, it was the High Caliber and 6th kill what Roon served with his ramming. Who was spotted stationary at the border less than 10km away. I fired a salvo, 4 shells hit which of 3 hit the torp protection and did no damage I was like Well, hopefully no more.
