I remember hating this ship so much the first time around, managing to somehow land a 30% winrate with it. Now I love it. Bad everything except good guns = win. The game was down to the wire, until the last 30 seconds, it was a real back and forth on points. I had to throw my ship away to secure a kill (the Vermont) before they had time to recover. Their Georgia finished me in return, but that was something I thought was not that bad. I was right. Also, laid 38k damage into the Bourgogne coming our broadside from behind an island. I asked Minnesota, isn't this a bit early to start running away? I asked Alaska couldn't you have at least used radar for me before running away to give me a chance? Thought to myself, screw it, 1v6 it is. Launched 12 torps, double strike, gunned down their DD. Hey look guys, it's 3v3 now, so they turned back in, we won. Great achievement but I can't help thinking why people do this? It makes no sense on a very basic level, you are playing a PVP game about blowing eachother up and your first instinct when you see an enemy ship is OH MY GOD I DONT WANT TO DIE PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME - RUN AWAY. Skurfa Beta Tester 809 posts Report post #16195 Posted January 7, 2021 Need to get 900 hits with BB main guns (stupid dockyard mission), and decided to take out the Scharnhorst for some fast firing guns, and hopefully a lot of hits. Got put into a tier IX game and didn't have up hope from the beginning, kind of decided to hook up with a Georgia and follow his yolo.... as the game went on we kind of won.... The Georgia did really good, and the CV was with us all the way. So I have my secondaries parked on an overextended Vladi while in cover of an island. Im not in hurry, since he doesnt make a move and is perma spotted from my DD + we are gaining points. All of a sudden: im spotted. I figure: thats from our spawn, so it must be a DD hunting our CV. I klick the map to the position where he must be and alert the team via chat "there is a DD going for our CV!". Next to me at the island is also an Edinburgh, whom I try to altert with "requesting support". Usualy, I dont expect anything. But the Edinburgh goes "affermative" and starts moving right away to where I point. My CV also starts to move, selects rocket planes and spots the DD. Bow tanked against Kremlin 5km away and kept overmatching his upper bow armor until he died. Got torped and destroyed by Daring and then I wrote bad comments in the chat as its a tradition. I was nearby, I charge in with my kitakaze, open up on them, the potato yugumo decides to leave, hang me out to dry 1v2, I did not make it, the potato sailed into a stray torpedo seconds after I saved his life. I politely asked why he did that, we could have easily won if he didn't bail, he told me to piss off and reported me. My greatest achievement today was a reminder for why I should always use monitor to decide who I help and never - ever - ever risk my ship to save a potato. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
