Krispy Kreme in standard battle mode on Pig Race... sorry... Big Race (always mess that up.. dunno why...) with two T4 CVs on both teams. Enemy had a Langley and a Hermes which tried to be as nasty as possible... Pig Race... damn, I did it again.. restart... Big Race has some nice islands and as both of those CVs seemed to be more interested in BBs - I wonder why... - I had lots of time to stay behind islands and lob my rain of fiery love shells at any enemy that was unlucky enough to get in my view and inside the range of my Baby Atlanta... Only when the game was already going really well for my side, I started my journey into the dark regions of the map (= upwards to the enemy cap) until the first enemy CV (Langley) was spotted within my range. Even with a T5 Cruiser's guns taking down a CV takes a while (and lots of hits) so I also had the fun to start to dodge attacks from both enemy CVs now.. and some shells from a Kotowski that tried to save his CVs... or at least do some damage before the battle was lost.. or whatever... In the end the Kotowski was sunk by a BB salvo and I managed to take down the Langley. But being down to so few HP that I tried not to sneeze else my ship would have blown up, didn't allow me more than a few salvos at the Hermes, before it got me with a bomb carpet... nonetheless it got sunk a couple seconds later and we won the battle.. Only one sinker, but as it was a CV it counts triple, right? And 69k damage done total from farming BBs that thought they were immune against shells due to sitting behind islands - until the rainbows of fiery love poured down on them - and that poor helpless Langley... Only 17 planes shot down though... but one can't have it all, right? And no, this does not mean that CVs aren't OP. It just means, that some players are so bad, that even in an OP ship they can only achieve average results... ^v^ 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Was meaning to post this match, and for the record I absolutely hated Ohio for a long while. Kind of getting the hang of it now. Worth noting this was 9v9. 3024 base xp. This battle was in the latter, for a while it was either way, as reds controlled 2 caps, but we made it :) Rank 10 achieved 2 battles later (one lost in Orkan but I saved a star, and rank 10 star secured with Alabama - my only game with ship different than DD :)). First salvo set a fire that Iowa player immediately extinguished. As I sailed behind an island my rear turret fired just before it swung inside. Another fire set. Came out on other side of Island and fired my front turrets, Another three fires. Iowa burned out before he could sink me. I helped him by typing in chat. "NEVER EXTINGUISH A SINGLE FIRE, YOU IDIOT." I'm curieus how WG will reward me for being cannonfodder for his elitep(l)ayers ?
