Alsace was a bit of a free-for-all but it was me he was running away from - my guns had 5 sec reload left but he burnt down Jean Bart (WP that guy) survived a salvo with less than 2k hp and died to a perma-fire behind an island Black got killed for 3k by the vaq as I was charging his smoke (he'd already fired his torps) NC got 'stolen' by the vaq for 1 torp hit when he was broadsiding me 10km away Just don't mention that I stole an Ibuki at the start :) Oh well, I'm happy enough... It ended with me being the last hope of the team, I took out the last enemy cruiser with a lucky shot and it was just a Tirpitz left on the enemy team. I thought "So it's all on me, boy is my team going to be disappointed". I raced to the double spawnpoint trying to evade the Tirpitz as I had like 20% health left and I didn't know exactly what shape the Tirpitz would be in. Arriving at the capture point around the corner 'detected'... the bloody Tirpitz was waiting for me inside the capture point facing me head on at 7km range with around 30% health left. Crap. I had two options, continuing bow in and likely getting wrecked by torpedoes, or turning away and exposing my broadside. I choose the latter. My team was screaming in chat 'don't show broadside!!' but I felt I had little choice. The Tirpitz shot my broadside with his front guns while turning away to launch his torpedoes. The bottom 3 players were all hot garbage with the Pensacola suiciding into the very first DD, taking two torps leaving him on 4k health until the cruiser got him, and the Leander/Fuso combo getting skin to skin contact in a "Ranger Sandwich" they were that close to the CV but neither actually doing much shooting. Happily I'm amazing (I mean I don't like to boast but.......) and the other 2 BB's and CV were doing a really good job covering me whilst I solo'd 2 of the three BB's with torps and fires and citadelled their cruisers to bits in a cross-fire, all leading to a nice T6 Silver ship score in Credits and XP! 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Sank one with a devastating strike and kept the other spotted until someone finally thought.... hey let's help the DD's... The streak was unfortunately broken by another one of 3 defeats though, so I couldn't enjoy a flawless session (complete the XP for containers and the daily missions without losing a single time): Spoiler One funny thing about both battles: either my fingers are shortening or getting fat, because I pressed smoke by mistake in situations where I wanted to use the speed boost, but in the end the smoke became the right option. In another of my Shimakaze battles today we DDs were all alive and at the top with around 2k base XP each. I have now 5 points which I am undecided for. As the repair is so good on Conqueror I guess that FP is meaninglless? but what then have PT,JOT, EM and AR, SI and CE its Bert Dunkirk so these 14 was OK , I am toying w FP if thats is viable after all and EL , BoS +EL +PM , BFT PM EL? there are several options. Apart from this was that the game was a nice turnaround in the last minutes when the team really played good, not often that games like this happens. I did what the Conqueror do best burned them to death but as usual not the carrying game just a good performance , since my Iowa trolls me like hell in the regrind of US BBs its good to win for confidence.
