We had a Colorado that went behind islands and didnt have shots, when we needed them; but when we had the lead and all we had to do was to defend the cap, and this he got told, he ofc suicided. Some desperate trying and we were close for a short time again, but it was not to be ....... However there was one game in particular that was so god damn lost: They had 2 ships (1 of them DD), they had the pts advantage, they had the caps. Some Highlights of that Fiji below: I get rushed by a DD (not that one in the end) he chooses to farm shitty damage on Nagato instead of pumping the broadside of said DD full of AP. Sky gets engaged in the middle in the beginning so ofc, with his UK smoke cruiser that is really good at DD hunting and can survive that thanks to the smoke, he sits behind the big island where he doesnt have shots in either cap. Briliiant! And that guy got second place..... So 2 vs 1 and no real chance of winning, my whole strategy is now based on 3 things: desperation, greed of the playerbase, stupidity of the playerbase. First things first: Duke of Fúck is blocking my way. He does not seem overly interested in a ram and neither am I. Without potato protection (both RNG and UK BB citadel wise) guarding his citadel I engage in a dive by and a few seconds and 1 salvo later debris is showering the scene. He never had a chance because superior russian paper and its retconning powers; in short -> Right, if the DD is not completely stupid, he just runs. However the moment I see his smoke between me and the island outside B, I know there are ..... possibilities. I keep out of his hydro distance and we do some mingling around his smoke cloud. I do some damage with the front guns and even get a overpen with the back turret predicting his unspotted movement (no lock on prohibits more hits). I know german everything smoke is garbage in this game, so in a few secs he either has to run, where I can shoot him, or rush me and again I can shoot him. Better chances than previously but still not good by any stretch of imagination. He rushes and gets a full fist of HE sub 3 km in the face - but its not enough to kill him. However he is now really low .... and he has to still go to my broadside to land enough torps to kill me. Its not much (time) difference but it brings him into the arc of secondaries and gives the shells there time to land. I also damaged 1 torp launcher with HE, so he couldnt fire all of them at once - a few more seconds. I further did my part with popping heal, damcon and making sure the last hitting torp would hit towards the stern: No torp protection, so that doesnt matter. However the later a torp hit that kills me takes, the more time the secondaries get ......... And yes, thats a "NO man standing" victory!!! ->> Spoiler I killed him as he launched the second set, so the win condition was met second before I died. And that proofs, without a doubt, what I keep saying to these fucktards: You dont have be alive to win the game! Reported for that game naturally ..... We won 11, lost 3 (if I remember correctly). 1 of those was a thrown win, 1 was possible to win and the other one was completely impossible due to high contamination highly toxic human waste on the team. As Sky would tell me, there was not but one occasion of DDs without LS or CE; so this sets the bar pretty high - or rather low when it comes to ball to the walls retardation. Guest Guest 0 posts Report post #11912 Posted September 23, 2019 First game of the day, and last in Iowa... bit annoyed, i could have survived if I hadn't potatoed a brawl with the soyuz - I thought once my rear turret had loaded, all my guns were loaded and had accelerated too fast - turns out front guns weren't loaded so didn't get the nice juicy citadels from them that i was expecting - and then turret rotation couldn't keep up once they were loaded. Spoiler A rather weird game in the DM - only did damamge to 4 ships but still came first! See above for how shitty the 3rd was Spoiler Ofc team abandoned me... C Cap.... and B Cap just to behind A all together as you can see on the minimap. Casually deleting stuff with Richelieu. After the first game was so crap, now it was much better. If BB AP on DDs would still be a thing, i would have devstriked that Kidd aswell with 4 Pens. But once again, stupid playerbase makes Smolensk OP i guess. I was desperatly trying to fight the loss, gunboating in the open, keeping the CV busy and what not. Honestly: almost 2,2 million potential damage in a T8 DD - I think thats insane? Thats usualy numbers, that Khaba is pulling but not an Ognevoi. And look how usefull my spotting was for my team.
