Started with CV's but found if YOU have the passive BB's your teams gets swarmed. So we changed tactics and went full BB. Already on a decent 90k-ish I decided to not risk the brawl and get the ram on the Kaiser - securing the win; or so I thought. In the end this was way, way closer than anticipated or needed. However we outclubbed the clubbers, so this was a tense game and well deserved win. However not all games can be won ..... especially if your team fully submerges theirs head individually in a whole buckets of glue and no compromise sabotages you. However double strike is rare enough for me .... Its these sort of achievments that finally allowed me: At the rate I am playing randoms tough, I might do those 40 k xp by Christmas ...... maybe. Another pvp game with Wolf: I played a shitcruiser and didnt die - yay! Ofc I immediately got pinged by all the potatoes when Wolf and I split up; me relocating to move into a position to deter double (top tier) Roma to push into the flanks of our potatoes and farming them hard. And it worked, we won. Final entry is an accidental random battle (no. 18 after my break, not counting ranked pvp). You see the very first battle of this post was the one played last on the day right before this one with Wolf. As I didnt have a divsion I wanted to do some ops but had randoms selected. I was so dismayed I was not only not prepared for a random battle, but I was also draging my team down ...... I was not only denied Kraken once but twice: In the beginning the game let my only splash the (low hp) Bertin; ofc by then I didnt know this was a potential Kraken game. Then I landed a pretty good (for this garbage boat) salvo on the enemy Izmail that was on 2k hp ....... and had started to heal and was left on 500 hp only to get N. caeli recidivans torped... Also killed their Gallant (which took ages!), which since this was epicenter was pretty important. Their other french DD buggered off and got killed off in the end by the others. Problem was team was pretty potato: East flank collapsed immediately. Team battlefuck was on the border, ignoring 2/3 to 3/3 red circle (middle was contested for a while). I was trying on the island on the outer rings, but their BBs were siting central of the map - unlike ours. Our French DD contested middle and imho sold himself way better than his score results suggests (all things considered). I dont know if potato accidentally doing something useful and getting lucky with rng, or conscious efforts by a good player that the game doesnt honour. But sometimes it turns out better than expected. Even got a compliment which I don't remember happening lately... Also me being a complete and utter penny-pincher and refusing to buy a normal ship for the ranked season and trying to rank out in my furious.
