2nd up. We accidentally fail div'd. However, it's only a fail div if you lose :Smile_trollface:. A T5 (who got 7, WP him), and 3 T4's making up all the kills bar 2 from the T6/7's.

[Scenario -Narai] - Well it's just too much fun when your team is filled with "good PR" players!!! We absolutely wiped the floor with the bots, so much so that we hit the "land 2000 troops" win condition so quickly we still had the last 5 bots to farm when it ended. It's also a little much to keep posting Narai stuff so unless I happen to solo the mission for 3k Base XP or something this'll be my last one for now.

 

Oh, had a 7 kill 200k, 1.8k base XP DD game in the Jervis yesterday where I solo'd the Missouri! DD's are viable in Scenarios IF you know what you're doing which many seemingly don't!

My team lost most of the map right off the bat. It took us forever to get our first cap, and by then the enemy team had over 800 points. Thankfully we had defeated the enemy on our flank, and were able to rush through the center and take the enemy caps, but even that was close. The enemy reached 960 points, and they had a Vladivostok and other ships chasing our Leander - had he died, the enemy team would have reached 1000 points. But the Vladivostok died before the Leander. Then their New Mexico died before our Amagi. Finally I sank the enemy carrier, which gave us 1000 points. By then, the enemy team had been one kill away from victory for 5 minutes, but they just could not reach that finish line.

 

This game might actually be good enough to send to Jingles. I have seen victories snatched from the jaws of defeat before, but not like this, and I have not been the one doing the snatching.

Randoms were a mixed bag. T7 was just bad. I expected that actually, as it seems T7 sees more T8+9 games... with weekend playerbase yeah, not fun at all.

T4 was nice (so WG, you wanted us to sealclub?)

So 1st up. Broke my spotting damage record, in a terrible.... the none stealth type of DD and came 3rd due to it coz it certainly was not due to damage done :cap_look:

Among numerous interesting games today, two stood out: A Narai and a Ranked match. 

 

Narai. Long story short: Bad start turned worse, had to improvise, things happened, and got a wierd achievement I never saw before, along with 394k damage.

 

After a bad start turned into a particularly terrible follow-up (Not only was I gifted with exceedingly poor dispersion and damage at the start of the round, the Mo TKO'd our CV-hunting Myoko on first sight), I had to forfeit base-tanking plans, and go for the CV. Both escorting ships came north, so I ended up even further from the base than I wanted to, but luckily, our Nelson and Scharnhorst held out long enough for the others to arrive (there was quite some commotion among our cruisers - it was a miracle in itself that someone eventually decided to go take out the transports). The twist came in the end: after we somehow turned the tide, and only lost a single star in the process, the last Colorado was killed off. I was overjoyed when the game's outro started playing - too much to realize that my DCP cooled down just in time to save my ship - so I forgot to use it, and promptly exploded as the operation finished. I got this strange reward - I guess the idea is to somehow blow up in the last second(s) of an operation, after all tasks have been completed. Not sure. Anyways, it was an entertaining game.

Finally, the carrier fell, after some brawling between two salvos - and I found myself in one of those peculiar spots on the map where generally a BB would earn a couple of reports...

A bit of a barbeque going on, of course, 0.1 sec until I can save my ship... Luckily, it's going to take _2_ more ticks to kill me, whew! So all that's left to do is...

...Busy casually dispatching that lonely, miserable, forgotten fort in the enemy base which no one seemed to realize was there. In all honesty, I'm not sure how it got there/stayed alive myself. Then it just went boom, eventually. Poor thing.

Ranked, Yugumo. 

 

Short story: Finally, I managed to briefly drop back to R6, so I immediately seized the opportunity to take Yugumo out for a run. While I was prepping up, I realized I didn't have the concealment mod for the boat - or anything actually in slots 4,5,6. Ship's more of a mess than I initially thought - but why change it when I could make things even more worse fun? So I decided on trying out that reload booster everyone's talking about and see what'll happen (never tried it before). Ended up back in R5 after a fun and lucky yolo-game.

I can't express how happy I was when I learned that so close to the anniversary of WoWS, there'll be a tier 9 ranked season. I still had 17 techtree lines to finish - all at t9, so I dedicated august to levelling up any and all ships I could find. As of date, I'm at 1.502M exp farmed, with only 265k more to go untill I'm done with all but the 3 CV lines and the russian BB's. It's all fun and games until R5. Until then, it doesn't seem to matter what junk we take in - even full-stock ships of any branch can still win a game with a decent team - or even carry. After that, ship choices become limited, as you would be hindering your team too much if you brought a ship that isn't particularly good in the given meta, or one that isn't researched/moduled up to a certain extent. In the past two weeks, I've been levitating between r5s0 and r4s4. Yugumo is one of those ships that I am clueless with, and it doesn't seem to perform very well for the majority, either. So I was glad to finally have a whack at her again when I fell back to r6 today - and I am now a huge fan of that reload booster. Benham's not the only one who can set off 16 torps, lol. I am seriously considering investing a bit more into this ship, seeing how undergeared/researched/wrongly captainskilled she is.

So managed to get No2 spot for Hosho in EU overall but No1 spot for average damage. Now it's time to retire from Hosho and leave the poor seals alone.

And I'm liking the NTC more than I thought, having some great runs in old silver ships. Ships I would probably have never played again like Hatsuharu. If this is good for the game or not, I'm still undecided. But in theory I could do this without the NTC and would just be labelled a stat padder anyway by angry potato's.

Yeah but most of my games were before the buff rather than after and during when AA was stronger as well.

 

Im guessing you farm BB's first then DD's, as i almost always try to go for DD's anyways until they are dead (or whatever is closer). Leaving very ships to kill and farm in general.

 

Ill probs play till 50 games before moving onto ryujo. Although higher tier gameplay has become non-interesting for me atm.

technically I also make the top bracket area on another acc I have that was pre-buff :P 

As for technique I left the BB's last, slowest things and least threat. Went for cruisers first mainly which also kept DD's spotted for my team. Then worked over the largest HP targets to stall any attempts at last min pushes.

The usual muppetry on display, but today's happiest battle; T7 GNE in a T8 Match, with Shokaku on reds team, Reds capped C quickly, greens sailed around between caps, and stalled behind an island outside of A, T8 BB's sat on thumbs, and things looking bleak, so just went for it, killed 36 planes, 3 botes (would've been 4 with the cv, but kill steal), got Confed, finished top and obviously won the match.
