The Kamikaze Chronicles

 

Can you get a Kraken and lose? Yes you can. The red Kamikaze did. Why? because he got greedy.

 

I cant say much about this battle other than that the Kamikaze that wasn't greedy won the game. 

 

The game starts and both teams have an allergy to caps. I try to contest one but the green T22 left the cap to go die somewhere, all our ships were border licking and my cap is contested by the red T22 and the red Kamikaze. I am alone. I try to hold them off as long as I can and I retreat. I am chased down. Meanwhile my team for a strange twist of luck is making kills on the other side. All the work is done by the Duke and the Svetlana. We get a healthy ship advantage and 1 cap each. Funny but no one thought of taking the middle cap.

 

Anyway, I m being chased, I m low on health and just a push and I would be dead. But...for my good luck, the red kamikaze decided that its not worth to chase me and left to go make a Kraken in 3 minutes by killing 5 of our ships. Ship balance is now for the reds. They have one cap and ship advantage. However, as they left me alone, I caped the middle, I took out their CV, turned their cap and now we had all three caps. Again, instead of chasing me they flee. I take out their New York giving us some more points and I am the last one left from my team. And I run. 

 

And we win.

 

If that red Kamikaze wasn't so greedy he would have me out of the game and he would have won.

Match came down to the wire. Thankfully enemy team proceeded to throw quite hard, being unable to kill my low HP Ibuki teammate.

My best Kitakaze performance in Ranked. And I had two reasons to celebrate.

First one is the performance, the victory which I carried and my star. Its a nice battle. Posted the replay in the Spoiler. I sunk the Georgia in a 1 vs 2 (he was assisted by the Yugumo) and I fended off the Yugumo. Then I took on the Buffalo and the Yugumo again and sunk them both. And as my team had lost faith and thought that the game was lost (all except one that was supporting me and typing Not Yet) I kill the red Kita and farmed a few points of the Alsace. Victory on points.

Well, it seems I m lucky. Because I met this esteemed gentleman once again. This time on the red team. In another ship, but I guess he kept his style. 

And...I burned him all the way down to Davy's locker. Oh, I only wish I could see what they was saying on the chat. I am sure that they would be having the same all again. Most probably he was blaming his team again for his inability to reproduce a good result. Maybe it is Darwin's way to tell him that he must fix his game and character.

 

Oh. One more thing. If you think I 'm cheap you are right. I am easy and cheap. LOL

New personal best in Kutuzov, it is always nice to break the 200K Barrier. Were sometimes in a critical situation as I defended and kited (perfect for Kutuzov) while most of our ships went for enemy cap. But all went optimal - drawn out fight which makes the numbers rise.

Of the 210 K around 85 K was fire damage. Good for the missions too.

Today I managed to be the only active player in a team with 11 campers. Defeat was swift and crushing but it felt special to be the only one doing something else than hide. I was in Shokaku, btw, and yesterday that little IJN beast gave me my third Kraken Unleashed ever, and first with a CV (I've had some close calls with Midway):

 

 

Enemy team had 988 points when my team eventually killed their CV. I had killed Gascogne and the Shiratsuyu while capping B alone as my team camped A. Eventually they noticed that there wasn't any dreary enemies around,  moved to B and C and eventually killed the enemy CV.

I only post because this was an unreal game..

 

Started the game and it is 2 base cap game.. I am able to sail from home base to the enemy base down the 7 line unchallenged all the way and end up taking the base without a shot being fired with a Leander and Charles Martel for company.

 

Not once were we attacked... in fact we ended the game unmolested and our guns unused...

 

And I finished second...which is even more bizarre...

3 good games with GK, Mogami and Radar Mino 2 Absolute horseshit games with Wooster Apparently, 39% players have godlike aim, so you cant dodge em and they easily hit >80% of their shells from 17km or more. Thats why they have <40% right?

After not playing WoWS for almost a year, i'm slowly getting back into the game. 

I'm still crap most of the time as my aim is off, positioning aso.

 

However, i had a bunch of good games too, and this is one of them.

Certainly not the best i had i last few days, but mighty proud of the result as i have massive problems making the Sinop work.

 

Too bad our DDs ignored the fact that our base was permanently inhabited by enemy DDs.

Also, too bad our cruisers can't aim for $hit, as one of our Molotovs at full HP lost a gunfight with a Fushun at 3k HP.  

 

I might as well upload the replay, so folks can have a good chuckle.

The first real games i played - besides knocking off the flakes in Coop - were ranked games were I oddly enough performed quite well and carried quite a few games, which netted me 10 compliments. 

 

Today however, I lost 6 karma in total. But only two due to me using colorful metaphors to describe the mental condition of certain team mates, and in another case using phrases usually used when talking nanotechnology to describe the genital situation of other team mates. 

 

The other 4 were lost to, what I assume, enemy reports who didn’t like getting sunk. 

 

I remember the olden times where the ratio was the other way around. So sad.

You sure can. In fact you are more likely to score better if your team is sort of losing.

Often it means you do not have to go find a target. Sometimes they just come up as sort of 'customers'.

You'll recognise it when this happens:

- your team starts a lemmingtrain, but they go the exact opposite of where you spawned;

- you soon find there's something behind you, so you take position behind an island;

- and then you see the red team is lemmingtraining as well... right into your torps/guns... 

 

I've had this happen several times, best scores I got when my team was losing, but not TOO fast...

Best time was when I was in a fat US BB, I could not keep up with the lemmingtrain, so... 

I found a DD was coming up behind me, loaded the HE, shot him to bits, then a cruiser, then another...
