I noticed the following: Most important class for these ranked are DDs. Kamikazes/Fujins are tough, but not an automatic win - there's lots of potatoes around in Kamikazes... Next important class are BBs - unless they decide to be utterly useless by not going after the objectives or hiding like little girls behind some islands, unable to shoot at anything. Cruisers are usually just canonfodder, unless they manage to stay way out of sight of all those Cesar Salads and Kongos... I didn't do particularly well in my Crispy Creme. Did seven battles today, starting at rank four, and managed to barely get to rank three with a 57.14% winrate. A couple of those battles were even fun, but most - even the wins - were rather annoying, due to the amount of potatoness being visible all over the battlefield. Astoundingly I managed to survive 85% of the battles... that's six out of seven! And I even survived some of the lost battles... All in all, the current ranked is in no way better than the usual ranked - same potatoes as in random battles, doing the same dumb moves... it's just even more frustrating, as even one poatato can have a large influence on the battle when there's only six players per team, especially when it's a DD potato... Unsinkable as well - the first after roughly 3 years and the 3rd in total. (Last one was I think Oct 2015 while grinding Kongo ......) I leave it up to the other filthy sealclubbers ( @WolfGewehr and @aboomination ) that were with me to post their pics, but together we went over a quarter of a million damage - in a T3-4 match. I literally have to kill all enemys to win ranked. I got an avg dmg of ~80k today and 5W 7L. Its INSANITY! This one tops it. Im 1 vs 3 and beeing insulted by my carrier for about 10 mins (well he insulted others too but since I told him so play Co-Op, he was on my butt all the time). He flew all his planes along the border to snipe. I told him to move, since I saw the cruiser is headding for him - he insulted me - then he died - insulted me more. My most hillarious negrep ever so far ^^ I was playing Wooster, just minding my own business and farming some hapless Musashi till he ran out of hp alas Some other enemy Republique died but had gotten out of range anyway, so I start farming another Republique. It looked kinda like this, we all know the drill. Spoiler At some point he got unspotted, so I painted the sea with my HE shells and kept hitting him some more And then he died! After which, a conversation was initiated by the second Republique, which for your reading convenience I have marked in purple pink, for added clarity. It went something like this, kinda self-explanatory if you ask me Spoiler Yes this was an actual conversation in which our local detective master uncovered my uultimate WASD hax and went on to reporting me with a photo or something. Clearly you can see my uuber OP WASD h4x in action right here for all to see! But of course, being called a hacker when not hacking is the ultimate compliment! It took a total of 35 battles - the last five today, with a 100% winrate ?!?!??!!?!!!! *** - and a total winrate of 60%, 30k average damage (max: 66k), 0.57 average kills (max: 3) Coming tomorrow, I will start the "Get to the #1 Rank with any which effing ship you want" on my sealclubbing alternate account. After those five ranked battles, I had time for some more. So I did my last battle (at least for a while...) in my Ibuki. After retraining it's captain, he will from now on command a Zao. That last battle was - of course - Epeencenter Mode on "Tears of the Cruisers". I had luck and got a good team. I also had luck that the enemies weren't really that good. And I had even more luck in finding a nice spot behind and island, from which I could lay several nice torpedo ambushes... in the end I survived, the battle, got a win, 90k damage and three sinkers... Feels like a good "last battle". I also had for once a good battle in my Chung Mu - with the help of an US DD (non division) who just did the right things when we held a cap together against several cruisers and BBs - in a "4 DD per side" battle. Usually a good chance for me to get sunk early. But this time with some help (see above) I managed cap assist, cap defenses (several) 100k damage (most from a single torp salvo giving me a kill by four torp hits on a Große Currywurst) but only one sinker (<--- Currywurst; he dodged all torps from one launcher, but sailed straight into those from the second..) I also got one of those temporal (?) "four kill krakens" in my Yubari... Epeencenter mode on Pig Race - always a pleasure in that nasty little bugger... no CVs around, but - I think - five DDs per team. So.. lots of targets for me... I got two of those, a cruiser and a BB that thought itself invulnerable to HE fire from 10 klicks away... So eight "random battles" after the ranked, and the winrate was an astonishing 75% *** I thought it interesting, that this "five game ranked winning streak" came during the early afternoon (german time) and produced several close fought and interesting battles. Considering You do way more damage than I did, sink more ships than I did and proably survive more battles than I did, You must have had some really horrible teams... Well, I had some of those, too.. but then I got lucky... Of course, to rub some salt into the wound... I only used the Crispy Creme... probably one of the worst ships in the game (at least that's the common opinion) Maybe You should stick to the Marblehead? Mutsuki isn't really a good enemy for all those Kamikazes and Gremlins one meets in low ranked... and the Oktobrskaya is... well... it's no Nikolai... burned down a couple of them (although I also got sunk by a few...) We had first blood only once, and thats because we had the same enemy DD in back to back games on the same map so we knew where he would go - killed him right there. We have everything: CV hovers his fighter above me (DD) to take a dogfight with the enemy CV - WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?? There was NO damage output. An Emerald was running away with 2k HP - noone shot it. I could have spotted the enemy BBs for 2 days straight - they would still live. A near full HP Texas ran away from a König with 2k HP, despite me being between him and a 700 HP Kamikaze - which i then gunned down. I couldnt torp the König since he was running away, and he healed back to 13k HP anyway soon. Texas steamed towards another Kamikaze + BB, and died. A Kongo was afraid of a beached Murmansk 6km around a corner, turned around and died to a DD. We asked him we he turned away, his answer was "Had a DD infront of me" Which didnt matter, SINCE I WAS THERE TOO! One DD (we had 2 vs 1 caps and BB/DD vs BB/DD), we told him, get the last cap and torp the Kongo, which was sitting still for 10 mins straight. What did he do? Steams out of the island, gets himself spotted by the BB -> instablap. Then he went on in Chat, how he is waiting for @ForlornSailor to die in his GC; and he was hoping for it. Thats the Teammates we have - THEY WANT TO LOSE. Another DD with 900 HP ran towards a beached AND SPOTTED! König, gets spotted and dies. Luckily the game was already won at that point. I dunno... the biggest problem with Marblehead was, that i had to throw my own life away to get the enemy DD, which sometimes worked, sometimes not. But our DDs are just retarded 100% of the time. They dont cap, they dont spot. 2 BB div was the worst of all. After that i thought, if i can spot the enemies all the time, and have the same concealment as Kamikaze clones, that my Team might cash in on that - how wrong i was... either they dont shoot at all, or they dont hit anyway. I even gunned down a Fujin in my Mutsuki In every game so far, either Forlornsailor or me were the last one alive - usually last 2 are both we, but thats not always. The 7 games btw didnt bring me one inch closer to R1 Won 3, lost 4. Ofc a problem with Divisions - only 1 can save his star. Before reaching the cap, T22 turns away, towards B. Im a little worried but thinking "ok, its not that bad, all enemys are A, it might even be good to go for B, cap and spot. But no, he goes behind the islands in our spawn again! He then runs to J5 (get this!!) where he starts an open water gunbattle with an.. Emerald. Thats right. An Emerald. In total I did (yesterday and today): Six battles in Emerald (10 pt captain); 33% winrate... only 15k average damage... got gangr@ped by enemy BBs again and again... Most of what You described above happened to me in those battles, too... One of the best battles was, when in a domination battle the team agreed on A & B, but when I tried to help our single DD at B I noticed my RPF telling me that the enemy all went to A & B, too. DD capped be and was dumb enough to stay in it. BBs and the second cruiser continues to steam to A, ignoring all the enemy getting spotted north of it. I went to C, capped it and killed a damaged enemy Kirov before I had to do a fighting retreat, getting about a dozen cap defenses on the way, while the rest of the team let themselves get slaughtered at A - which we never got - and B - which we lost fast after our DD was killed sitting in smoke in it... Five battles in ARP-Kongo. Won four of those. Even though I only managed 41k average damage and 0.8 average kills I'd say I did quite good. Sometimes I just managed to be on the wrong side of the map with some good allied players, so that targets melted faster than I could reposition (or sometimes even reload...). I think I still can see the panic in the eyes of the enemy's Kamikaze R captain, as he saw my Kongo steaming directly at him, instead of the usual "It's a DD - RUN AWAY!!!" he seemed to be used to... *giggles* So... 80% winrate in the Kongo... And then the Kamikaze... not the R type, but the normal one... got it from a container or so... Nine battles in her *CoughSealclubberCough* and a winrate of 88.89% (= 8 wins) which weren't all because of me being there... I only managed 0.89 kills per battle and an average damage of 25k - which is way below my usual average in a Kami - but capping, spotting and making enemies run away because of torps coming at them, smoke showing ahead etc. etc. etc. sure helped to win a few battles. So.. 20 battles and 14 wins... 70% winrate... solo, not division... during the day (afternoon). Yeah, Kami is OP... but 80% in the not really OP Kongo - shotgun anyone? - is also nice... So... with a little luck I'll get Rank 1 tomorrow after a few battles... and I hope You'll get lucky with teams, too... 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Why do you want to [edited]your own DD by getting him spotted? Otherwise he even was a good CV player, since he killed their Kamikaze Enemy CV was more stupid however, since he steamed towards me.
