[HOO] Close_Quarters_Expert Players 323 posts Report post #2630 Posted October 7, 2016 (edited) Sadly I don't have a post-battle to show off, but I took 3 torps on purpose in Colorado today (for Guide pics; I REALLY need to start using replays for screenshots!), and not only survived to tell the tale but took down a North Carolina and full health Izumo before my team won through damage! I even shot down 11 planes and avoided the wrath of a Lexington's entire loadout while also being hunted by a Fubuki (albeit the fact I had actually baited him for half the match just to get my screenshots XD). Bearing in mind I took those torps early in the game, I really didn't expect that outcome! I was almost prepared to apologize to my team for it. So for today, that would have to be it Edit: Yes, this was pvp. Although in my opinion it's at it's best in 6-12 km range. only thing you dont really want to fight german BB's that close is their torpedos and "turtleback" armor. Anything else is in a world of pain if they venture closer than 10km. and I have avoided 8 out of 10 torpedos from Benson from 5 km, the ship is that agile. And that Benson... it was instant delete as I happened to have guns pointed relatively closely where it popped out. How ever I will strongly encourage using Sierra Mike (double strike) + speed India Delta (Dreadnought) + 20%+ hp on repair (you often earn in back in every game) November Foxtrot (High Caliber) - 5% consumabe recharge time. I was pulling Dreadnought's in almost every game, (I was also dieing a lot) but that is due my very agressive play style with that ship. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

After pressing "w" several times I got disconnected, killed the client quickly and restarted it. 30 seconds later I was back in the game but my map was somehow "gone" - didn't notice how much I need her until she was gone. Sailed like a potato and got killed after one salvo (citadeled a Yamato, tho) - just couldn't exactly figure out which ships could fire on my position and where to look for danger. I cant remember if i have ever done that against another BB before?? In one of them I managed to be the last surviving ship (winning us the match), after tanking 93700 damage in Bayern (which has 51600 HP). [COOOP] Shirakami_Kon Players 2,624 posts 12,760 battles Report post #2650 Posted October 11, 2016 I misunderstood the great "today only" challenge if you play TX in ranked and I took out my Yamato to a ranked battle thinking it would do and since I never played my Yamato due tothe economy I thought that I'll try out the changes done. And I got a compliment. (That can happen in TX!) Something I'd never thought it would happen with that ship since I barely played her so I feel kind of weird with her still. Still not sure what I did to deserve that though, it was a pretty unremarkable match. Just 165k damage which is nothing for a Yamato a few torpedos beats here and there but I don't know, nothing out of the ordinary (I think). Really got me thinking if maybe it was because some player on my team was crying of joy because I was following a few ships in my team instead of stoping at the spawn point and just shooting from there. But yeah, the "Do nothing you're not supposed to - get complimented"... not that it's bad, but feels weird. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
