Clanwar excluding 90%+ of players from competitive

So WG is suspending Ranked battles for the whole year so we can play CW?

 

At the same time, WG rents out ships to everyone to let them participate....

But how are we supposed to do that, when you can only play with 7 clanmates and one a commander?

As I am in a casual clan (used to not be in a clan), gathering 7 players and getting them to online at the same time appears to be impossible.

Tried joining a pickup group tonight with a recruiter from another clan trying to start the battle. Nope! 

So no CW for me. Nor ranked.

Has anyone found a work-around yet? WG said during developent of CW that it would be possible to join CW divs as a solo player.

Seriously WG, bring back Ranked so the rest of us at least has something interesting to do.

CW is very fun, but i can imagine its hard for smaller clans when its hard for a clan like ours. We have a full 30 man clan where most of the players are very active, and we can barely scrape together 7 players for a few games. 

Shame the only time you can play this is "prime time". Which is also family time, kids time, dinner time and so on. Excluding alot of players indeed.

I guess the problem is the 30 player limit on clan size, WG obviously want's you to spend money to expand the player limit.

CW is not possible in smaller clans where nobody is communicating despite being online so I left the clan I was in - was 4th highest oil contributor but commander and deputy commanders would not even answer clan chat messages, now I am hoping to get into a more active clan so that I can participate in Clan Wars but because my stats are low all I am getting is nothing

CW drags on for a while so maybe accept that all days you can not participate Maybe a little patience

Really guys ..... It aint WG faul that you are in inactiv clans ? or smal clans ? NO it is not .... You know that is an ingame TS/VT right ? maby try to use that ?

The smaller the clan the more activ you players have to be... aint that logic ?

Most people in random battles are not in clans

Alot of clans will not have 7 members online at one time. 

Changing clans can help while voice chat will change exactly nothing.

 

I would love to see stats on how many players tried CW.

With the current system and time, my bet is maybe as high as 10%.

Compare that to the thousands of players trying ranked.

 

This is WGs fault for designing something similar to the Ranked "Super league" and calling it CW, players just want to play - but the cant.

IF you really want to play CW ... then you wont have any problem finding a clan or make one that is activ, But dont expect it to fall in to your lap.

Also, I think alot of clans who desire to be involved in the clan wars are gonna have to tighten up their ranks and start recruiting more active players.

What we can and should take away from this is that WG will stop at nothing to gimp gameplay and MM to make the game as accessible to everyone as possible, but then still muck it up with utterly counterproductive and arbitrary limitations such as BS primetime and only clan leader positions being allowed to create a clan war division.

Apparently you didnt read my first post - in the bottom.

I just want to play competitive games - easily! That is called Soloque. 

Dont talk down to me about things falling into my lap when the option has been in the game for the last 1½ years.

 

First it is beside the point (see above).

 

Second, you are wrong. I wouldn't last a week in such a clan, and not because I'm a bad player. Did you even consider why, or do I need to parcel it out for you?

Because yes a clan could be found or created - But I dont play that much WoWs myself atm, and being part of such an active clan would require me to play much more than I have time for.

Otherwise the clan would simply not have enough active members each night - just like my clan!

WG decided to limit clans to just 30 members (or 50 after months of grinding oil). THAT is the reason it is almost impossible to play it.

Having a limit is fine - but why 30 not 300? WG is really catering to a very small part of their player base with this limit. 

30 or 50 does not matter - and so the choice is easy. I'm opting out because spending those doubloons would not change anything.

Primetime is just silly. I play 4-5 hours a day, but because I dont have the assumed 9-17 office monkey job, the primetime has either ended when I get home or I have extremely limited time before I have to leave for work. GG have fun I guess

15:30-23:30 CET, Im oh so lucky.

Still manage to get 2-3 crates every day so yes, restricting the times of play for CW was short-sighted, but you cant say DG has been anything but...

Fork all the clan battle schitt, my clan just wants those discounts on their way to higher tiers, we may play CB in a year or 2, but for now, we just have fun playing a few divisions and banter on voice chat.

To OP. If it's true and 90% (or more) aren't playing CB (first and second season (?)) and there are a lot less people than in ranked. It's gonna be a long wait for follow up season(-s).

And ofc 90% of people playing this game work shifts and have no time to play in prime time.

While Im not hugely interested in CW the time zone suprised me. The clan I joined was basically for gathering oil, but for a laugh were going to throw a team together even if most were rentals.

 

By the time I'd got home from work, fed kids and put them to bed and eaten dinner with the wife, i was rather suprised to find when I logged onto ships that there was only 7 minutes remaining of "prime time"

 

Since playing while the kids are up is a no go (2 and 3 year olds want to join in, and press all the keys/wear the headphones/move the mouse), and I probably cant convince the wife that we dont want to eat, essentially I wont ever really be able to give it a go

Get a divorce, rent a Man-Cave flat, have the kids every other weekend, play as much as you want. Oh and buy a little red sports car

I think numbers will eventually talk. If WG makes less money from the whole rental scheme, than the premiums etc sold for ranked, we will see ranked back pretty soon ''back by popular demand''. Or maybe the whole CW rules changed.

 

What put me off the most was the T10. I don't own tier 10s and did not want to enter a ''competitive'' mode in ships I have no experience of.

Why not tier 8? Also plenty of premiums to choose at t8.

Only issue is prime time, what 2 hours and thursday, saturday, sunday ? So WG doesnt consider friday good day to get ppl playing?

 

Give 1 hour extra to each end and we have alot more ppl playing, time zones are a thing!

 

In-active clans isnt problem as a whole, find better clan and problem solved, if you dont want to leave then its your issue.

T10 needs usefull things to do, why bother catering everyone when end game has no content tbh.
