First one is the same as last year. Nice, I missed that. :cap_look: Really curious for the second one.

I like the ports, the one from last year and the new one with the domed architecture. Interesting giant raven statues.

Halloween event seems nicely converted/updated. I think it has some extra messages, though not checked. 25 000 Commander-XP for four stars will be a nice bonus on top of the commander-XP earned with the 19-point Halloween Captains. Not sure about the one, two, and three star rewards; 15 camouflage As, 15 camouflage Bs, and then 15 As and 15 Bs feels a little boring, especially since the camouflages have the same properties. But more camouflages with 100% XP bonus is welcome, and 60 of them can't be really complained of.

Looking forward to Phase 2 and what the defence mission is like.

I doubt that. It feels a lot easier than last year. I remember being swarmed by enemies at the portal; this time - walk in the park. 5 stars at first attempt.

Plus you could farm rewards as long as the event lasted. This time, it's five stars and bye. What a shame.

While i agree that it feels much easier (possibly due to the 19pt captains and folks knowing the mode),

you're still up sh*t creek without a paddle and with a hole in the bottom when your team does not focus the catapults.

IMO the main factor for it feeling simpler is that is the catapults seeming to focus the dds more so the Trans does not eat that much long range-and fire dmg.

True, it has become easier. Don't know if the Sailship was healing last time.

And there is no Teamdamage (like in the other ops) - the main reason the Sailship died earlier was that she burned down after catching fire from a friendly HE-shell :X

How can the Halloween mission event be accessed when there are no event ships available in the Port?

Play and win 3 games in standard or co-op mode to get the 3 ships and captains accredited.

Question about the dragon flags reward: The operation need to be only played, or actually won for the reward? Because if the second, its virtually impossible with the teams i get. Like everyone treat the transylvania as a tank, DD's die on first enemy and half of players chase the Zikasas God knows where...

Its insanely hard to do alone...

Hey Vanhal!

In order to get the rewards, you have to win. A basic win is enough though, you don't have to get all the stars. I know that it is not easy, but where would be the fun in it without a little challenge? :)

Ok thanks. The problem do not lie with a little challenge though. It lie in the matchmaking that put me with extremely bad players over and over again. The long lose streaks is the most depressing thing in this game currently. Especially when you need one win and you can't even get that.

exactly like in the first part. You need to win three games and then you'll get the ships unlocked.

Initial thoughts from unlocking ships and three attempts.

Interesting consumables. I remember someone talking about the Lion's "mass heal" (probably meaning massive heal) and I made a joke that it was just "Heal" rather than "Mass Heal", which under D&D rules heals people around you. But now we have one that is a "Mass Heal" (or at least a "Mass Cure X wounds"). And the cruiser gets "Vampiric Regeneration" from absorbing damage dealt as hitpoints.

Lime jelly is scary. Nasty nasty Wargaming making the range of guns and torpedoes so short that we have to get close or inside it.

Fun containers from the attempts. Nice chunk of free XP when that Pumpkin exploded and with the other Pumpkin I got a permanent camouflage for the Saint Louis to turn her into an Igor (researched and bought ship to check), which explains why there is an eye-icon to hide those camouflages (like with the Hunt the Bismark and ARP etc.).

I don't know if it's intended but it's impossible to manual drop on ships inside the fog .... everything is green.

It looks like there might be a chance to earn the "Steampunk" camouflages for the ships involved in the event. I got Jackal for Nassau on the second pumpkin after 20k free xp from the first one. Another player in chat wrote that he got the one for the Lexington, Nobilium. The other ships should be Wakatake, Kagero (Harekaze?), Chapayev and Tirpitz (Bismarck?)

Not impossible... just hard without visibility... Did some times so i know...

My feedback about the new port: Please keep it, after the event these are so fun and increase variety! And i also in love its music! If the Dunkirk event"s can stay let it stay too!

The new event is absolutely mental. (and that is quite a praise in my eyes ^^)

The ships capabilities are mental and that Great Gorgon has an absolutely ludicrous endurance, i mean holy ****.

Just 2 points:

1) As Seinta noted it is absolutely impossible to acurately use manual drops in the Filth,

(at least using visual means to assure a good drop rather than using familiarity and experience to aim)

the intransparent "roof" of the Filth-dome and similar colour to the drop reticule makes the latter indistinguishable from the background. Please make the roof transparent (at least above a certain height or for CVs only)

and change the colour sheme for the drop reticule if possible.

2) Maybe tone down the AA around the Great Gorgon a bit. I found her to be an absolute plane-shredder,

preventing the carrier from getting DOTs on it (the dds don't have to spend minutes on killing it)

Also it would be nice to have a way to get the special camos you couldn't get becase RNGesus didn't favour you. ^^

I've been playing the game mode and it's simply awesome, they did a great job with this year's event. Just one thing, it's quite expensive to buy the upgrades for the Halloween ships (upgrading all 4 of them costs as uch as upgrading 4 tier 9 or 10 ships, 25.7 million credits, if my math is correct). Could we get some free upgrades that only work on these ships or something similar so we don't have to spend so much? Because I won't be able to upgrade all of them if it stays like this, and I wager it will be the same for many other people.

As already mentioned - there is a VERY serious issue with the CV gameplay in the second scenario. The UI simply doesn't allow accurate manual drops and even adjustment of auto-drops is tricky because from the CV perspective the ships in Filth are pretty much invisible. This is extremely frustrating because for a significant portion of the scenario the Dark Ships generally stay within the green blob making CV play a pure guess-game - can't aim proper drops when enemy ship position speed and bearing needs to be guessed based on the marker AND the drop indicators themselves are COMPLETELY invisible themselves... At the very least the latter should be, idk, mabe red and always projected on top of anything else (so that they obscure the Taint blob, no the other way around)?

As it is now, playing the CV is a guessing-based exercise at frustration... It's obscene how many of my drops failed or did almost nothing because the bombers ended up dropping in slightly different place than I wanted them to/predicted they would... or because I was wrong about the exact position of the enemy. Something really should be done about how Filth affects CV UI (that's has enough issues without such complications already).

Otherwise the scenario seems fun (and more in line with the original Halloween event difficulty-wise). My one problem is - what is there in this to keep people playing once they get a bunch of stars? Especially if someone miraculously manages to get all 5? We really need some mission (perhaps generating camos like last year) to give people incentive to keep grinding the scenario even if they don't expect to get more stars than their record (either because they got 5 or because they gave up on getting more).

Nah. You just need to figure out how to take him down. Done with relative easy in every game I played. :Smile_great:

If I can add my 2 eurocents... I see CV gameplay not as main damage dealer, but purely support vessel. Have no problem with difficult drops within the Filth. There is still enough ships outside of Filth to account for 200-300k damage.

Getting 5 stars is relatively easy if you play in division. 1 competent player needs to take out enemy CV, second needs to guard 2nd tower (here cv plays crucial role)

I hope along with whatever rewards for every star achieved, there is also going to be additional mission that let's us farm some stuff.

All considered - good job WG. :Smile_medal:

Only issue I have - being outside of the Filth impacts performance heavily. Some folks with average gaming rigs might struggle.
