2nd year collection

Do someone end the collection? Can you give please informations how to gain the different items? I have only 6 of these. Thanks to all.

Here are the requirements for the achievements which give the different collectibles:

You can complete each achievement as many times as you like, but you will only get a collectible from each achievements once per day. If there are some achievements you can't do, then you can instead swap 2 duplicate collectibles for ones you don't have.

Also you can spend duplicates to get whats missing. I Completed the collection using duplicates. :)

Got myself 1 collection bit, 10 Valentine's camo and 30 Julie Charlie flags.

Incidentally THE most hardest collection bit to get "Will Now Have Stories" (Win a battle using the Shinonome).

I seem to be stuck at 6/16 with 17 duplicates. Any idea how am I supposed to complete it because I don't think I'm getting even duplicates any more?

So... I been in this game pouring money in since open Beta and I'm going to miss out on that 2 year commemorative flag (which is worthless, I know) because of an ill-thought implementation of this collection?

"Holiday achievements, items and presents are available from the release of Update 0.6.10.1 until Update 0.6.11.1. "

 

The special containers were also removed from the shop 

 

But with 16 duplicates you can get 8 achievements. Just choose for what ships you want the camo, you can get it for 3 of them (my choice would be to exclude New Orleans).

 

But those achievements were really easy to get, you just had to play during that period.

Nah, seems you will miss out because you did not play that much the last 2 weeks, the implementation in this one was just fine...

I actually did play regularly, the achievements themselves were not that easy for me to get, that much is true. I think the deadline should have been communicated effing more clearly because obviously I got within 3 duplicates of being able to complete the collection if I understood the exchange rate (2 for 1) correctly.

 

Thanks for the tips for premium camo, not sure if I need any of them. Basically this has served to sour my 2 year festive mood to the point that I guess WoWS seen the last of my money.

Now imagine you missed J.Dunkirk. not just some ugly camo for the t8 brit BB. Tbf, if you really worried about the deadline you could've found out, no prob. Some guys actually made a thread regarding this on the forums.

I did get Dunkirk, I also finished the two previous collections, no problems there. I didn't worry about the deadline because I wasn't aware how tight it was. And I haven't been much to WoWS forums lately because I miss the old style forum, never gotten used to this new-fangled thing.

the deadline was mentioned right from the start, and also its prolongation...

it was one week first, then prolonged by a week. That is not tight...and even with only one week you could complete the collection with only 4 achievements per day...and 4 were very easy to get. And with two weeks it was hard to get enough items + duplicates...

Sure but you have the missions , events and challenges in game all the time where they stated how long they will have it

Not to put too fine a point on it, but in five years, you probably won't be playing this game, and a "collection" inside it will be a dim memory at best.

Well, that of course puts things into perspective, cheers. I'm not going to stress out, I just feel the need to vent some liberal impotent rage over this, especially as the Forum itself is giving me the finger (notice the 2nd Anniversary banner still being displayed at top)...

Without having looked at your stats, if you have played regularly (which for me means two to three hours on several days a week) why didn't you get it? I haven't played regurlarly yet I managed to complete the collection way before time was up. There were some really easy achievements which you could have gotten every 24 hours adding up to about 3 or 4 duplicates a day. Sure, some were complicated and/or undoable without the right ships (like the "Death by Baguette" for me). But some of the really basic ones should have gotten you all the duplicates you need plus some bonus credits after finishing the collection.

You've got a Parcel Waiting for You! --> 1500 base exp in one battle

Skipper on Deck! --> 2500 commander's exp (especially easy with a premium ship, flags and/or camo)

Like a Pro --> 1000 base exp and win the battle in tier 7

Ho-Ho-Ho --> Win a battle with any christmas convoy related ship (Graf Spee, Fuso, Tirpitz, Leander, Bayern, Budyonny, Farragut)

 

Two more could have been easily done in Coop. Others like Not a pyramid Scheme! (earn 400k credits in one battle) or Paint it Gold! (earn 500k credits in a tier 10 ship) needed a bit more effort or the right ships and equipment but were still easily doable once per day/session.

 

So IMO your rant and complaint is not justified.

Well, I did mostly get the easier duplicates. The basic reason why I am ranting is that for one reason or another, the September 28 deadline didn't come across to me clearly enough. Had that been the case, I could have easily collected the missing 3 duplicates, probably in just a few more battles.

 

I don't actually care about the Monarch camo, it's more the principle of not being able to finish a collection that could have been finished (there are challenges that I never have had a real change to finish). And the fact that I'm now supposed to celebrate my 2 years in WoWS without even the token appreciation of getting that 2 year commemorative flag.
