Premium camos for tier IV and V ships?

So, Wargaming... will we ever see premium camoflauges for tier IV and V ships? There are a few examples which are really fun and I actually quite enjoy, one of them you'll laugh at... the Emerald. Seriously, if you can ambush someone it can be insane, eight single launch torpedoes at tier V per side? Yes please!  The Emile Bertin too, I adore that ship and would LOVE to have a premium camo for it.

 

There are others I enjoy, but this is the main one. Orion would be great to have a perma camo on. I'm thinking they haven't done this because they don't want newer players shooting up the tech tree with XP bonuses etc... so why not just give them better credit income, or better commander XP gains?

 

I think there is a market here for people who have made their way up the trees, have ships they look back on fondly who would gladly pay a few doubloons to get a nice coat of paint on their favourite low tiers :). PLEASE make it so!

I asked this ages ago, but WG thinks, that it's not worth the effort to create camos for tiers lower then VI.

Sad, i'd even buy camos for tier one.

I would actually like them to follow Gaijin in the way that they've done a few premiums. Have the community be able to submit skins (as opposed to planes) that they've created and intergrate them into the game client (historical ones ofc). Planes like the Do 217 night fight and Ta-154 were both community made premiums in War Thunder.

 

For Wargaming, it would be a win win... they get to have game content created for free almost. The creator could be credited with a cut of each one sold, or just a lump sum payment etc.

Isn't there a permaflage available for New York? Too bad it was only used on USS Utah and USS Oklahoma. But a permaflage for tier 5 isn't entirely new it seems.

 

I would love to see more historical accurate camouflages, also on the lower tiers. Maybe they can make one for Furutaka.

I love the Furry Taco/Ferocious Taco. She's so good with the C hull. Hilarious 203 lolpen for it's tier and insane torpedo arcs. Would definitely buy a permanent camoflauge for her.

 

Hell, maybe even the Bogue for printing Clear Skies awards :).

Yeah, New York currently the only T5 with permacamo. I wish there were more.

 

SubOctavian said in some Q&A a while back that they are not opposed to the idea, but that it's a matter of texture artist resources. They've been working down the tree, Colorado only get her permacamo recently.

Permacamo with higher captain XP gain is a good idea! I´d like permanent camos on Kirov and Iron Duke.

 

The German Torpedoboote had a mean-looking all-black scheme during WWI - i´d love to have it on my V-25.

Great idea, however I see a problem there. This would require WG to deal with the community in a non-condescending manner.

It would also make them earn money and from their recent actions we can clearly see that they don't want to.

 

Anyways, T4-T5 premium skins would be a great addition to the game, as many people play these tiers for fun.

They could go crazy with these too and use the weird and wonderful WW1 camo patterns. I would definitely get them for all fo the ships I decided to keep. A few examples:

So OK the Bolzano is WW2 vintage and might make an awesome basic premium camo pattern for the RM, buut annywys, since we are at the topic... I do not see, why they even need an "artist" for this specifically, Internet is full of camo patterns for ships, which have actually been used so it is not like you necessarily have to invent anything from scratch.

 

I also like the idea of emulating War Thunder on this, indeed - Let the community contribute to this one. I could come up with half a dozen a day if needed. And for a compensation I just want my own camo for free and maybe a week of premium (yeah, this is exactly why I make a poor businessman)... Hehehe!

Oh yes you did, hehe! After all, camos don't all need to be dull and uniform. I am fine with bright colors or odd patterns, so long's they bring some more variation.

 

Oh yeah, i also like the idea that low tier premium camos give a bonus to earning captain skill points. That would be a spot on buff for new players especially.

If these were reasonably cheap with some bonuses like commander XP or Free XP, I would definitely be interested in some historical camouflages for lower tier ships.

Id love that actually. There are plenty of people who buy lowtier prem ships, why wouldnt they buy lowtier prem camo that would give them close to the same benefits on their fav ship as a prem ship. I got about 15 sub-tier 6 ships sitting in port where id be willing to slap prem camo onto at least 10 of them.

I think that more camouflage options would a good idea, overall! It adds a kind of customization flavour to the game experience, which is a thing I appreciate in most games.

And I can't imagine that Wargaming would see the added xp coefficient (in any) as a reason not to create more camo patterns for the lower tiers, since those paint buckets you buy in the store can be applied equally on all ships.

True with a OK prize, you could f.e. have a few standard schemes on T3/4/5 ship. Dazzle paint f.e. that was common i WW1 I would like to put on some ships.

I think you've got some kind of dazzle camouflage pattern on the De Grasse?

It's so good-looking, I am honestly ashamed every time I paint her with the Victory Camo colours. But those xp bonuses are just too damn sweet to forgo...
