[FRCEZ] Sicknote1 Beta Tester 25 posts 4,729 battles Report post #1 Posted September 4, 2017 Morning All, I'm not trying to moan about teammates, in fact, I'm pretty ashamed about some of the hate chat that I sent out during my weekend of play. If you were one of the people in my rage induced firing line, I'm sorry. What my misery is looking for, is company. Looking at my stats for the weekend, I ended up with a win rate of only 35% and it just seemed no matter what I did, most matches ended up a loss. What would perk me up a bit on this gloomy Monday morning is to hear that I wasn't alone! So imagine me as the guy propping up the end of the bar who looks like he's got nothing left to give to the world and just wants to hear about how crap other people's lives are for a bit of Schadenfreude! [ONE2] RAHJAILARI Players 3,160 posts 31,670 battles Report post #4 Posted September 4, 2017 Weel, the week before was quite bad. 40% win rate and what was worse - I was one of the idiot potatoes in way too many games (why did I turn right, when i knew in advance I would die instantly, if I did so?). I did myself a favor and had a few days rest, so when I tried again last Friday it went better, but then again, anticipating a huge overpopulation of British BB's - I did make sure to play DD all weekend, Hehe! Turns out they react similar than any other BB to an unexpected torpedo hit...
[FRCEZ] Sicknote1 Beta Tester 25 posts 4,729 battles Report post #5 Posted September 4, 2017 Maybe that was my mistake, waiting so long for British BBs, that's exclusively what I played this weekend. Maybe I should have jumped into my Gallant!

[XODUS] JaiFoh Players 799 posts 4,868 battles Report post #7 Posted September 4, 2017 It's been Fantastic. Since patch was released not taken out a BB, pushing 70% win rate including a 100% win rate in the Kamikaze and 70% of those games were with Destroyers with a smattering of Cruisers and a single CV. 8 minutes ago, creamgravy said: 100% on Gallant plus a ton of positive karma. Destroyers and CV win games, BBs are helpless with no spotting. only 57% my end, but over 40k average damage and 2 kills per game on average. two losses i did 70-80k of damage, three kills, and was the only person on the team to get any kills.....and all caps. I really like the gallant, and i cannot help but thinking if her guns were 5" instead of 4.7" and a slightly faster torp reload she would be borderline OP. I really go think she is just the best all round DD at T6.

[HOO] Fat_Maniac [HOO] Players 2,337 posts 4,238 battles Report post #9 Posted September 4, 2017 I logged in Thursday after the patch and did a few battles in my t3 - t4 bracket, cos I'm going slow and steady trying to learn the game. Gave up, but thinking of dipping my toes in the water again. I've got to learn this game to play it properly, and that means playing regularly, but its been so bad the last few weeks with the summer hols I haven't been able to learn anything or develop my skills. Just felt the internal rage building so had to walk away for a while.

Just keep playing one class as the 'main' then even for different nations - maybe at most do the 'daily doubles' in the others (although at times that in itself can take a few battles). Styill trying to figure out my main class TBH, still playing everything except CV to see what makes them tick, but cruisers are looking likely as my main atm, I like BB's but its easy to play them badly and still live and get reasonable numbers. In a cruiser if I dont play well, I die or score terrible so I know I have something to learn from that game.

[-BWR-] Messias Players 80 posts 6,306 battles Report post #15 Posted September 4, 2017 Fridaynight I had been drinking. Seeing the invasion of BB's I decided to play with my Langley, won almost all of my matches. But then.. Sunday I tried 4 matches, first 3 losses with my Cruisers (Cleveland and Algerie) where only one game I could dish out decent damage. All one sided losses. 4th game was a one sided victory where I had no chance to get some decent damage because match was over in no time. I than decided to quit gaming and do something else. I now refrain from playing during the weekend because last weekend it was even worse. 27% win rate with my de Grasse, ouch.
[BOTES] ShuggieHamster [BOTES] Players 807 posts 13,196 battles Report post #16 Posted September 4, 2017 only managed 3 t6 cv games in total ... loss win win. did notice in game 1 (both sides) and game 3 (red team only) a lot of iron dukes not understanding that the flying things were dangerous. Game 2 both teams played well, both cvs struggled to get in to drop so we amused ourselves with dogfighting and strafing - ended up with my first clear sky (I never run AS loadout). otherwise didnt feel like a mega potato weekend. [AMOK] Donar79 Players 1,968 posts 9,010 battles Report post #17 Posted September 4, 2017 RNGsus gives it, RNGsus takes it. For me it was quite a good weekend (only Sunday). I recognized that weekends are always an extreme. Often my results are above 80% or below 40%. Luckily, often the first. But there are 2 rules for me: 1. Don't bother playing new lines on release. Or even this class. 2. Stop playing BBs if there are more than 100 people waiting in your tier-range.
Ferry_25 Players 4,392 posts 12,107 battles Report post #18 Posted September 4, 2017 Was really weird. Either it was a legendary match or a godawfull one. Latter most frequent sadly: couldn't hit a citadel even when I would be in it, begging to give at least 10% of the fires I was recieving, my torpedocatcher worked flawless and lots of games where I was the First Blood donor. And the good ones I even hardly had to aim! Point in the general direction and the dev strikes clogged my connection speed. Did manage to suffer out a few missions though. All in all not too bad. IMO the weekends are the most "extreme" in terms of good or bad matches. And indeed: my advise would be to sit out the "hype" of a new line a couple of weeks so you can properly get familiar with it. Now the queues are clogging with RN BB's and lots of sealclubbers (myself not being entirely innocent in that regard TBH) who think it's hilarious to get killsteals at people who try to figure the new line out. Suspiciously lots of CV players ruining the matches since the RN release. So I polished up my sealclubclubbers... Hello Atlanta (and kindred ships)! Farmed quite a few CV tears in the process. [-AP-] Lord_WC [-AP-] Weekend Tester 1,000 posts 8,199 battles Report post #19 Posted September 4, 2017 Only had 10 matches, won the usual weekend 80% of it. The trick is you should pick a cap capable ship on the weekends, because weekend BBs are even bigger pussies than the weekday ones and will never EVER contest a cap. You just cap something, they get scared and run away.

Although being alergic to large quantities of AA, I avoid cleves, Altantas and even Bayerns. I did have one game where there were 4 cvs ingame. First time I've seen a 4 cv match in forever. looked like 2 noob drivers and 2 experienced (1 per side). not saying there was farming, but there was a little light market gardening going on. The problem with CA is that they are very squishy and if hit broadside by a battleship you're deleted. I'm not really into the 'hide behind an island' game play used by many CAs. I played a few games as a CV in the beta and did not like the play style. BBs are a bit slow and with many teams it's hard to keep up with them especially when they lemming. DDs can be quite fun and can have an influence on the outcome either by capping and spotting or by ambush. Even with DDs there are different styles - torps (IJN mainly) or guns. The best CV I ever met on the weekend was a guy that thought the best place to park is the opposite side of an island where I parked my full AA specced neptune. His squadrons couldn't even lift off.

They can't push into smoke and torpedoes with battleships/cruisers behind islands shooting them. The correct play is to camp around islands close enough to support a cap. 45 minutes ago, JaiFoh said: I cannot help but thinking if her guns were 5" instead of 4.7" and a slightly faster torp reload she would be borderline OP. The RN 120mm is actually better than all 127mm guns at tier 6. It has decent DPM, good traverse and high fire chance. Perfect for brawling other destroyers and HE spamming BBs. The downside is weak AP.
