I appear to have been banned! (Hopefully by accident... ;_;)

So...

 

Yesterday I reported the fact that I was unable to log into the game, despite trying several repairs and reinstalls. Today, I discovered the issue is actually much more... personal.

 

I tried to access the game again using the account details of a friend (I know, not strictly kosher but this is for science dammit!) and ended up accessing the game in a perfectly normal fashion. I even played a game just to make sure everything was fine with my client (it was).

 

So it seems, the instigator of my infinite loading circle is the fact that my account is locked or banned or some such barrier has been put in place to prevent me accessing the game.

 

Anyone who has played with me will attest to the fact that I'm hardly a teamkiller or a toxic individual (I've only ever been pink once in over five and a half thousand games), I use a totally vanilla client (so no dodgy mods) and I try to keep my ingame chat fun and light-hearted, even when I'm getting schooled by other players or RNG...

 

So I'm totally at a loss as to why WG would want to ban me. If they have, I would at least have expected a message to explain why.

 

I raised a ticked yesterday, before this information came to light, but it is still 'in queue' over 24h later with no sign of anyone from WG getting on to it.

 

I really do love this game, and I was looking forward to trying the British BBs out (also torping the crap out of them in CVs), but at present it looks like I'll be missing out.

Support is messy. Sometimes they answer almost right away, sometimes it takes 3 days and they remain dodgy. If they don't answer after a day or two, I'd say try again. I dopubt anyone else could help you.

I had the same problem, but I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Now it works just fine.

 

Annoying, sure, but it worked for me at least.

I tried that yesterday to no effect. If there was something wrong with my client I doubt I'd be able to log in with a friend's account...

 

Clearly WG just don't like me, or want to funnel me back into WoT... :fish_panic:

If you have been banned, it would say so on the login screen. You surely just have the issues some encountered since the patch.

same issue as you
Logged into "private" account and it too had the login error and that it was banned for no reason
but i logged into my Public account and it was fine

I have the same issue. What do you get for an answer when you log in?

 

Here is my text

I still can not log into my account 2 days after the patch after i got kicked from the server 2 hours after the patch went live.

"technical issues found, contact support or try again later"

The same result on 2 other computers with my account.

Login with the same account in WOT client and on the website works fine.

 

I wrote a ticket on thrusday but did not get an answer yet.

Sounds like your issue is similar to mine. I wrote my ticket on Thursday too and it's still 'In queue'.

 

The funny thing was, I was emailed yesterday to say that I've been credited 24h premium time to make up for server downtime on Thursday morning...Looks like I will need a lot more compensation than that!

Yes, and I also missed clan training and shifted work to have free time for the new ships to arrive, really pittyful to just watch my clanmates to play the new ships while I can do nothing :(

I think the 24 h premium gets every one for the long update process.

 

Funny is that my account is shown online for other players. So I guess something went wrong and my account got locked server side while the servers crashed 2 hours after the patch went live and kicked my divi and me out of the game.

Use game launcher , In settings check game integrity, it will download probably 5.5 gb patch.
it worked for me

So it's been almost five days since I raised a ticket regarding this and WG haven't even dignified me with a response, aside from the email they sent to remind me to pick up my public test session rewards (which of course I still can't use). 

 

*slow clapping*

So today they finally responded to my ticket.

 

After a few exchanges, they 'determined' that my internet connection was the reason I couldn't connect... even though I can connect just fine using other peoples' accounts and even though other people get exactly the same error when they try to connect with my account details. Then they locked the ticket before I had chance to reply and presumably I have to wait another five days before I can get another discourse started with Support.

 

I have to say, that this is quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Just a staggering amount of facepalming incompetence.

 

I don't know if any of the forum staff are able to help me look into this issue, but any help would be gladly appreciated at this point!

Good luck on that one!

 

You might want to ask them to force log-out your account. I've pretty much got the issue down to the fact that my account is permanently logged in.

Anyone know when the next server maintenance is scheduled? Think that might solve my issue faster than WG support.

could it be you've been hacked Kitty?? There were issues on the day on release but all is working fine now.

or maybe some deep firewall has vinked itself on?

Nah not been hacked, otherwise I'm sure I wouldn't be able to post using the same WG account on here. It's similar to the issues people get with being stuck in a division I think. There's no way for me to resolve it unless WG support can force log me out (unlikely since they're the most unhelpful, clueless customer support ever) or the next server maintenance rolls around and force kicks everyone.

 

The worst part of all this is how much premium account time I'm wasting.

Elsewhere on this topic are people with the same problem I just found out. It does suck however. My div mate wasn't able to join/ start divisions for a few days. So seems to be lots of bugs. Makes me weary for any new update...

Yep, servers restarted last night, so I'm back into my account.

 

I've lost a whole week of premium time to this crap though. @Kandly could you kindly comment on how WG is going to compensate the people who experienced this issue?
