Update 0.6.10 Server Issues - Compensation

Captains,

 

As you might've noticed, the update process was unusually bumpy today. As the length of the downtime exceeded the usual, we are planning to compensate all players who had Premium Account active during the downtime with one day of Premium account.

The compensation will happen tomorrow during the day.

We are sorry for any inconvenience the extended downtime caused you – but at least the issues were solved and should not plague us anymore!

P.S. In other news, all players who took part in the Public Test of Update 0.6.10 should check the User Bonus page and pick up their rewards! You can do so until October 31, 2017.

This just isn't good enough. People probably took days off for this or put they day aside to play today (as I did). I have had a handful of battles, the game game is barely working, I can't division, the clan interface is gone - it's a total mess. The update came what, 3.5 hours later than advertised? It wouldn't do Wargaming any harm to be more generous with compensation for this disaster. The day has been completely wasted.

Thanks for the day, but the damage is already done. No, I didn't take the day off (I can't, I'm a teacher and I just can't do it), but this was my final day of the holidays, last chance I had to play warships in the morning during weekdays, which is a much better playing experience. Between the update problem and the server problems, and the check the integrity and redownload, I've lost most of the day.

Thats Nice but completely useless to me. (As I'll be heading towards enschede for the military parade there).

Just a quick question - can you guys check if the update broke the Yamamoto collection? I opened five containers today (2 normal, 3 from the weekly mission) and did not receive a single Yamamoto collectible. Now I might just have really bad RNG but 0 collectibles out of five containers seems strange to me. 

 

EDIT: Ignore, got  one in the sixth container. Must just have been rng.

That's cool. But seeing how quickly this was handled, I guess you will choose ignore the entire week of constant sever lags, outages, disconnects and throwing people out of their game or ending games but not counting them for XP gains? Or did you simply forget about that?

This also did not work for me. I checked the link, it said I had rewards available, I clicked collect and nothing happened. No notification, no addition to the numbers. 

 

So either the UI is broken or it does not properly dispense the rewards. I am leaning towards the latter as it now says "Captain, there are no available bonuses at the moment. Keep an eye out for upcoming events, which will be announced on the Portal!"

 

So please fix this and credit the bonuses to my account.

It's actually quite usual for downtimes to last longer than stated though. That's not to say I don't appreciate the gesture — it beats messing up and doing nothing about it as in last year — but it could still be said now, as then, that WGEU only has up to go from here.

Whenever I had such a problem there was a '#' at the end of the address like so: https://worldofwarships.eu/en/userbonus/#

Delete the '#' and try again, I hope it helps.

Since update 0.6.10 I have not been able to play :/

 

After update it would not display ships in port - so I did a file checkup in the launcher and it began downloading 10000MB, thats ok, BUT the download speed was around 200KB/sec and of course I had to stop that since it would be completed like tomorrow or never :/

 

So I have tried re-installing and right now my launcher downloads with approx. 600KB/sec (when its not 500KB/sec) ... That's about half my bandwidth only - we need bigger fileservers - the torrent solution is not enough and does seem cheap :/

 

I am like 5% done reinstalling - this will take the rest of my friday at current speed. Not being able to play for 2 days because of update is not ok.

I am a non-premium member, I prefer to spend my money on in game goodies and ships around £300+ this year.

I guess no compensation for me, but never mind, I will save £300+ in the next 12 months.

Sorry "PayPal Pay Now button", you can take a vacation until Nov 3rd, then I will need you for Call of Duty® WWII instead of buying the Hood.

I downloaded the update 0.6.10 on the NA server  using my NA account 24 hrs earlier than EU, and then using Aslains region changer, NA update was ready to download 30 minutes early with no complications and at an amazing 120mb/s, I still had to wait for EU, nearly 3hrs late, with a ton of complications and at a speed of 2mb/s

Are WG EU servers still using the Sinclair ZX81 as the main server?

and THX @Kandly for the 24hrs premium, I will need that 24hrs for the next patch.

I love the comment about the Sinclair ZX81 .. its WWII simulation after all ...

No, as I quite clearly said the webpage listed the bonuses available, I collected them, I was told by the webpage they would be added to my account and nothing happened.

I was told it failed but when i logged in I had recieved them
