French free flag weekend mission

So who also grinded the free French flag at 35ooo base XP a month ago?

As i missed that event ( thankfully ) i'm glad that i don't have to grind my Edited.

I also feel almost a bit bad for getting the flag that easy while many here had to work for it. Almost... ^^

Me, I finished it at some far too stupidly late time. I wouldn't repeat it considering the effort for the reward.

 

Do I take it that there's now a trivial mission to get the same flag?

So? What did you expect? It was made abundantly clear that they will hand out the flag to people because of the response to that mission.

I earned that flag the hard way, but I have no problem with this mission. Quite the contrary, as WG was made to listen.

 

If only we could force them to listen all the time...

FTFY. No one made people grind that moronic mission, and if they chose to do it anyway and validate/enable WG EU's Edited  mission design, that is 100% on them. No pity.

For me it is an eye opener I spent a decent buck on this game they can check my Wot and Wow account for that. If I had not spent that much I would quitt here and now I will just occasionally play but never spend a dime on WG again not on tanks and not on ships. Glad I did not buy the Harekaze HSF and the Graf Spee yet and the Sabaton tank.

The difference is just too much between 35K and one single game.

The feedback they got for the 35k base XP mission was absolutly negative. It became abundantly clear that they messed this one up.

Their ever rising demand for base XP over a small timeframe like the weekend, for rewards that were getting smaller, had its climax at this point.

 

I hope that they will not try such a stunt again.

 

For those who did grind for it the first time, I applaud you. You did very well to get that flag. Please understand that not everyone who wanted the flag back then had the chance to invest as much time and effort as you did. Please don't be jealous that the rest of us can now earn it in a much simpler way and instead stand with us to make WG-EU understand that such a massive grind for a simple decorative item isn't acceptable, so that they'll not make the same mistake again.

Who says I have the time for it ? I also have to make time I skip things for it. 

 

You don't let one group of people have a hard time and then another group a walk in the park I can have that in real life

 

They don't make the pirate flag easier now do they?  And yet that flag is also 'a simple decorative item' as you say

Yes, the difference between now and then is massive. But the mission that was wrong was the first one. You completed it anyway. Congratulations. You performed a task not many of us did. Be proud of yourself (and no... there is no sarcasm here).

To be quite frank, I don't see how this is any worse than putting up a ship into the premium shop for example, and then later handing it out like candy for some weak-*ss missions.

In some cases, I "lost the deal". In others, I did "win". This is how WG plays this game, and I had to accept it.

 

Plus, I won't own any less of the Mikasa if other people got it for free, really. This, I guess, goes for the flags too...

While i did spend a lot of coin on this game ( i have all WoWS premiums, all Tanks that were available ( except the Mutant and other very rare ( read bloody expensive tanks)) and most planes in WoWP ( no TVIIIs tho).

And it's not this specific event that is making me angry, in fact, i'm happy that i can get it without grinding.

It's still messed up that WG doesn't get it, the XMasConvoy frak-up should have ring more than one bell. 

This in combination with the server disparity and some seriously dubious design choices ( RN BB, Graf Zeppelin,...), the stupidly hard missions are making me think about spending more money on this game.

 

Yes, i bought the Sabaton tank ( the cheapest option and it's a pretty good tank) but i honestly doubt i'm gonna buy the ship i wanted the most - next to Tirpitz many moons ago - ever since WG hinted that it may come after the CV rework: the Graf Zeppelin. If it stays in it's current form ( the re7arded DB only setup) i'm not gonna waste money on it and i hope nobody else does.

 

Another thing that is moronic and that made me cringe was the price difference between the Yamamoto containers. 

15 Euro price difference for the same product?? REALLY? GreedGaming at it's best.

No it's not the same product!

You get one container more for 15,68 € less to add salt to the injury.

Only the one container is actualy the same product (maybe on purpose?).

Still 0,44 € cheaper though.

Btw aren't the normal containers supposed to have a chance to drop Yamamotoloot as soon as you get your first part of the collection?

What happens when i buy one of those containers even though i couldn't (possibly) finish the campaign yet?

Nah.  Don't like the French military much. Just a personal thing based on a bad side of my personality.  I won't be playing Italians either.  

 

  I'd rather develop crews on the ships nations I have played so far and probably get to tier X in those lines.  One of the big mistakes I made in a popular tank based game was spreading my time thinly across all tech trees.  You end up with a lot of mediocre crews.
