For some time now i had problem signing the "follow shell torp" function to any key?! Usually i have "lock target" on my 1st thumb button (mouse) and the "follow shell" thing on the second thumb mouse button. But for some reason i cant grasp the "follow shell" thing wont work ingame (sometimes my ship shoot a shell instead when i hit the button)?

I've tried different mouse and that is not the issue (have reinstalled mouse software also) And the button register in the settings meny when i assign it so that cant be the issue.

i´ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, didnt work?

And it doesnt work in its default assigned key aswell?!

Anyone else has this problem?

I know it a 3:rd world problem but it just so nice to follow youre torps in right into the citadel.

It stopped working few versions ago... but there is still a workaround (that I use - I only change 2 keys one of which is now "reserved" and can't be changed directly in game)...

This is my keyboard section in "preferences.xml" :

        <keyboardControls>
            <CMD_CINEMATIC_SHOOT>
                <keyCode>    KEY_O    </keyCode>
                <index>    0    </index>
            </CMD_CINEMATIC_SHOOT>
            <CMD_ART_CAMERA>
                <keyCode>    KEY_MIDDLEMOUSE    </keyCode>
                <index>    1    </index>
            </CMD_ART_CAMERA>
        </keyboardControls>

Sorry for being a bit daft here but what do i need to change to get it to work on my mouse button?

You have to manually edit the "preferences.xml"  file and enter the "keyboardControls" section there with commands that you wish to have.

I posted my own example (i.e. the two changes I use - I use "O" to fire and follow shells and I use the "Middle Mouse Button" to have the same function as "Shift" key - the binocular vision):

        <keyboardControls>
            <CMD_CINEMATIC_SHOOT>
                <keyCode>    KEY_O    </keyCode>
                <index>    0    </index>
            </CMD_CINEMATIC_SHOOT>
            <CMD_ART_CAMERA>
                <keyCode>    KEY_MIDDLEMOUSE    </keyCode>
                <index>    1    </index>
            </CMD_ART_CAMERA>
        </keyboardControls>

Sorry for rehashing this, but do i need to take in consideration the space between left edge and the text when i edit? I tried to pretty much do a copy-paste of you're answer in my preference file but then i get an error message and the game wont start?

I see both Flamu and Notser have this working in their videos?

I am on my summer vacation (Adriatic) and have limited time for WoWs (usually only very late at night)... sorry for not replaying earlier...

Can you  please post your config file here and then I can edit it and repost it?

Hi all,

Is this what you needed?

K1PKY4m.jpg

BTW, strangely enough in game it is listed as "Mouse 6"...

Here is new line:

        <keyboardControls>
            <CMD_TRACK_OBJECT_CAMERA
                    keyCode="KEY_MOUSE5"
                    index="1" />
        </keyboardControls>
