So far, from playing on NA, the game seems much more responsive when transitioning in and out of battle and seems to load texture much faster. +1 to say the least. :Smile_Default:

Haven't noticed any negative impact so far, thankfully. In general, I'd rather the game not be messed with from a technical standpoint - it works fine for me as it is, unresponsive in some places but perfectly playable.

Yesterday after installing the patch game had many microfreezes during battle and one time I crashed due to windows error leak or something.....Haven't had such problems until the last patch and this one.

As it seems, this patch breaks many Mac and - as far as I have read - all Linux/Wine installations. Since the DirectX change is the only obvious technical change this is likely part of the problem. For me, as a Linux player, it would be good to know if WG doesn't care at all if it is possible to play the game with Wine in future or not.

My game is now lagging which it did not do before.

From 30 to 40 fps to 10 and below.

No use to me....unplayable, so wont pay for premium....no point.

DX11 is a mess for me, at least with the 'low' graphics preset. In port the game looks like Minecraft, in battle the waterline of ships and islands is obfuscated by Japanese porn censorship

DX9 works great though, I have much better loading times now than in previous game versions.

I have had FPS-drop as well as microfreezes, had to go down to low graphic settings to be able to play at all!

I noticed it specially on the minimap and rudder-indicator which is jumping instead of being smooth as it was earlier.

Frequent microfreezes. The ship stops, and then after half a second or so it starts moving again. Very fast as if it had to compensate for the freeze. Never experienced this problem before. Windows 8.

Game crashed twice in a couple of minutes 19.35 When I logged in again, my ship was sunk, so I stayed and watched the game. After only one more minute the game crached again.

FPS lags in battle noticeably in Dx11, I've been running on the highest game setting before the patch. I've reverted to direct x 9. only game I have which doesn't work on Direct X 11.

In the few battles I've played since the latest patch I also noticed much more micro-stuttering and small freezes.

I'm always running the game in the highest possible specs since my PC has been easily able to handle it with max FPS. I haven't tried any lower graphics settings as when the game runs, I still get 70+ FPS easy.

One of the battles was especially strange since around mid-way through the battle the game completely froze and I had to kill the client via Windows Task Manager.

I thought I'd log back in and load into the match to finish what I started, only to find that the game loaded me back into my port with the ship I was playing sitting there and no evidence whatsoever of the battle I was just in.

Very strange stuff...

Many micro-stuttering and small freezes during gameplay (last about 1-3 sec) happends about 20-26 time/match

Sounds stutter during the freezes, Several gamecrashes, In about every 10 game the FPS goes to 5-12 fps,

Major lagspike (120-250), before the update is was never over 50. now i can get matches with 120-250

Microfreezes, Lag, FPs drop to as low as 11. Changing to DirectX 9 makes no difference. All since latest patch.

Smoke and aircraft make it unplayable even with shadows etc turned off.

I seem to no longer be able to take screenshots using an external tool (Greenshot, in this case). All I get is a black screen with the mouse cursor visible, while it was working fine in previous versions.

Unfortunetly, it freezes at battle start, and never gets back. My Mac is no longer getting this game going. After a couple years I am going to be forze to quit the game until further notice. A pitty. :cap_haloween:

Performance and visuals (as described in the changelog) feel improved using DX11. Running on GTX 970 / i7 Gen7, maxed out 60 FPS cap, Win 10 1703 x64

Thanks for implementing the usage DX11. I am pretty sure that performance will even better if you would recode the application as x64 application instead of relying on 32bit compilation.

you should also care to officially support latest nvidia drivers instead of supporting 376.33 only

I won't decline other reports on microstuttering but I haven't expierenced this myself yet. Perhaps I do not have this issue or I am not sensitive to this.

My PC is quite old.

Windows 7x64 Ultimate

Intel Core Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33Ghz

4.0G RAM

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 2G Dx 11

The game performance with DX 11 usage "returned" to the previus patches problems that parts of the ships models delayed to load in game, cammos delay to load in game,

battle starts with 200-300 ping for atleast 15-20 secs, and zoom in/zoom out in aiming  cause freeze of the game for 5-10 secs,

I play many "heavy" games in DX11 but i have not serius problems.

EDIT: Same problems remain with DX9 .

Conclusion: Its not always the graphics that ruin the game but something else too.

Too heavy terain..Where is Ocean btw?

Buged aiming.

NVIDIA cards have not proper lods procesing.

Why is DX11 so crap on 1440p?
I get crappy FPS from 25 to 57.. When using DX9 I have solid 90-100 FPS...
What the hell is going on???
Is the engine so bad it can't handle DX11 or is the coding poorly done?
