So, every can see the news article about the current weekly mission, right?

Guess what, the description for stage V is false. It says any ship of tier VI or higher, but ingame the mission requirements are german BBs of tier VI or higher only. Nevermind the typical WG EU mission designs, but can you fellows at least get your news articles correct? I was wondering why I didn't get the final stage done despite meeting all the requirements that I read on the portal news until someone actually pointed out to me that the actual ingame mission is limited to german BBs.

You are right,I just checked the in game mission, "German BBs t6 and up". The portal has "any ship t6 and up".

Same for me yesterday evening. 30k to british ships, first in XP, survived with a victorious team and then... nothing. I thought I'm done and had to discover the german BB requirement.

And there is even more wrong with the news article. Part III can be completed in co-op but it isn't mentioned on the portal. It can't be that hard to set up proper mission requirements, or can it?

@Tuccy @Kandly care to comment?

I wonder how this can happen? I mean translation errors? Nevermind, that can happen. But this? The direct change of the content of the mission description? If it was for the first time? Ok. But such errors occur every now and then. Such things normally happen on purpose...

Wow, I'm not at stage 5 and the description shown doesn't mention German BBs.

If true this makes the mission really crappy as hell for the reward provided.

The Emden is basically a bad Dresden with a fake funnel and gold trim.

You'll probably play it once and leave it in port or sell it for the extra slot.

On purpose? I think the company cant make something out of this for doing it on purpose other than frustrate the player base.

It was just a mistake, or they changed the requirements for reasons unknown and failed to update the page.

Yes, probably just a mistake. But why does it happen on such a regular basis with WG-EU? There is almost no weekly mission were there is no difference between the portal and the actual ingame mission.

Is there no quality control, no proofreading that will also check for the content? Are the persons, responsible to incorporate the missions specs on the website and in the game respectivly, recieving different notes?

Indeed.

They kind of mess up a lot.

"We are aware of the BB overpopulation and are taking steps to fix it"

Meanwhile:

Deal 30,000 damage to British ships

While I admit there are 2 (p2w) RN BBs out right now and 1 RN DD (cant meet T6 so it doesnt matter) those noobs (again) painted an even bigger crosshair (than just being an xp pinata) on a cruiser; just that its this time a RN cruiser. As if PT jumping to (10) the second you get spotted is not enough. No, WG aims for the full 12, including the CV and his 2ndaries ofc!

I already have it from the original christmas event and I actually quite enjoy that little bugger ... if I don't detonate by the first shell that hits me though (cuz fun and engaging game mechanics).

lol! Now you reminded me, it was the troll prize in the Xmas event boxes :Smile_teethhappy:

But for anyone who doesn't win one, just play the Dresden. It's pretty much the same thing so you're not missing much.

Not last christmas, the one before that when the Emden was introduced first. Was a mission set to unlock the Emden. And the obvious difference between a Dresden and an Emden is ... high level captain for tier II club- err ... advanced beginners lessons. Also, you're never ever again going to complain about bad shell arcs once you got used to playing the Emden with AFT on the captain.

Funnily enough I didn't actually detonate in my Khaba today ... guess someone at WG noticed the mistake and rectified it just in time for me playing my last game of the day. They must be having some sort of weekly "Screw the Scrubs" quota to fulfill or something like that.

Where is the SMS Goeben?!!?!?:cap_old: Would love to have that Grosser Kreuzer in my port:cap_cool:

It's more likely she'll eventually come in game as the Yavuz Sultan Selim after she was given to the Ottomans at the end of her famous escape. That would also leave room for some of the modernizations they performed on her.

I'm actually fairly sure she was the longest lived WW1 Capital Ship ever, may be wrong though. She was afloat for 62 years from 1911 to 1973 when she was finally scrapped after being decommissioned 20 years prior.

Got Emden last year, sold it. Got it again with the Chirstmas event, don't know if I still have it. So in the end, doesn't matter to me.

But thx again WG for helping us get rid of the overpopulation of German BB at high tiers. You guys are amazing

Got two Emdens on the Christmas boxes a few months back, the second was insta-changed for 2000 gold (IIRC)

Apparently I sold the other sometime after that because I cannot find it. Nice 2 10-points captains though.

Exepty you cant seal Club in the Dresden with a 15+ point captain from one of you high tier DD/CA.. Emden is not bad when you just want a bit of fun.. The thing that is a shame about these Low Tier Prems is they often are the ships with the coolest History. I would like it if WG set up some campaigns like the current Dunkirk for some of these low tier ships. make them hard give experienced players the chance to go out and do something challenging in these low tier prems ships that we got and then largely left in port

As for me I got the Emden way way back,,, The First time round must be about one and a half years ago

We all think of the battle of Jutland but there was a lot of Cruiser battles in WW1

She douse have fantastic AA with a AFT commander. Shame there are no CV at tier 2.... imagine a dive bomber attack trying to get through all those 105mm shells

Not quite true as Texas still lives, which after all is a WW1 ship.

On Goeben: I have read that some efforts were made to save her as a museum ship but they were unsuccesful.

Oh right, forgot about Texas, longest lived non American then haha. Yes, Turkey asked West Germany if they wanted to purchase her back as a museum ship in the 60's but they declined the offer, a shame really, she has a lot of history and was the most active large ship operating in the Black Sea area in both wars.

Restrictions:
  • Available once Pursuit of Goeben and Breslau IV is complete
  • Random battles, Ranked battles
  • Once per account
  • Tier VI+ German Battleships

Did they change it?
I admit i raged a bit when i "finished" the mission, but not in a German BB. @Reaper_JackGBR can attest to that. lol
