Hey guys, today I want to show you two Italian Aircraft Carriers!

Aircraft Carrier ''Aquila''

Displacement: 28,200 t

Length: 235.5 m

Speed:30 knots

Armament:

8 × 135 mm (5.3 in)/45 cal guns

12 × 65 mm (2.56 in)/64 cal guns

132 × 20 mm (0.79 in)/65 cal anti-aircraft cannons

Aircraft carried: 51 Reggiane Re.2001

This ship was ordered after the english attack on the Harbor of Taranto. It could carry 52 airplanes (Reggiane Re.2001 which are fighters). However it was very vulnerable to the bombs, because it hadn't  a good armour. After the WW2 it was destroyed

Here you are some photos:

Aircraft Carrier ''Sparviero''

Displacement: 30418 t

Length:232.5  m
Speed:20 knots

Armament:

8 × 135/45 mm

12 × 65/64 mm

22 machine-guns 20/65 mm

Aircraft carried: 34 Reggiane Re.2001 / 16 Reggiane Re.2001, 9 dive bombers or 9 torpedo bombers

The ship was ordered in 1942, but it was never completated. Such as the Aquila, it had a weak armour.  After the WW2 it was destroyed

I'm sure given enough time WG will create an Italian carrier line. After the Russian and Chine-erm-Panasian carrier lines of course. :cap_like: I'm hoping for dive bombers armed with 250 SAP bombs and sacrificial fighters for Aquila.

For anyone interested stefsap posted a couple of articles about Aquila recently.

How about we actually fix the problems with CVs before introducing more of them?

I am excited for more carriers. Sadly though WG is full up with Tech trees. The British BB line is gonna come then things have been going on that WG is planning to Release French BB line after the British BB line is up. Mind you this line will come after 2 months from the release of the RN BBs. Then after that maybe we will see some russian BBs, The italian cruisers, etc etc.

To see some more carriers in the game, Wait a year. WG is kinda full on the lines. There are so many Tech Trees they have to complete.

Honestly I think that the only other nation that can have a proper carriers tree is UK. All the rest will have 1/2 premiums. Unless WG wants to dig into deep sci-fi . But hey, it may be funny anyway after all... :fish_book:

There where many detailed studies including draft plans and hydrostatic models by the RMI. Planes are completely cosmetic.

Now sure let's bring on the type 0s. :cap_money:

There's more important fleet carriers other than the Italians, we still have the royal navy carriers, so would imagine we'll see them before we see Italian ones.

I've no doubt Italian CVs will be an end of life cycle inclusion. We will see PLAN carriers first no doubt, I hear Kongzhong has amazing researchers. :cap_book:

Came on SparvieroVV, it's not mockery, it's just a bit of Internet Stereoypes Fun, there's no need to be too touchy about it. Le them fear the power of our future National Consumable:

"Win-Win Situation - Active for 20 minutes - 1 Charge only - No matter the team you start in, your  ship will end in the winning one - Reduces XP and Credits gain by 20%

The problem with humor like that is that people start genuinely believing in it after a while.

It's especially annoying when you have personally known people close to you who were in that conflict, and they're called cowards.

So no, I don't accept Italy changing side jokes, I don't accept France surrendering jokes, I don't accept USA saving the world jokes unless it's in very obvious satire.
Remember that this is the internet, and there are young, impressionable kids browsing it, and you have to be a bit responsible with how you crack jokes and what you do and say, or else we will actually end up with generations of people actually believing that the USA and their British lackeys single-handedly saved the day in WWI and WWII, that the USSR was the coolest country ever, meanwhile France surrenders in every conflict while Italy changes side at the slightest hint of trouble.

Agree with you, though your reference to British lackeys somewhat ruins the flow of your argument!

That was part of the argument though; that's how it's stereotypically perceived, not how it really is.

I want to make it perfectly clear that I don't think it's actually the case.
And the problem is that much like the other stereotypes, it's still very much "in use" today to describe some of the UK's past and present decisions,

My apologies - the internet is always difficult as answers are by their nature brief and their true meaning can be misunderstood. I completely agree that racial stereotyping is lazy and should be avoided.

So not only are you legitimately quoting me out of context, but you can't even be bothered to read the reply that explicitely says that I don't think that's the case.

And for your information, Edited, I have an ENTIRE side of the family that disappeared into concentration camps because of things like the Vichy governments, and the other filled with holes left by people who were executed after being captured during resistance movements.
Don't ever assume anything about me, and don't [edited]quote me out of context to put words into my mouth Edited

My family in Italy was persecuted too until the Brits and Americans came to Liberate them.

You post soo many negative about them.

Then flip because people don't agree with you!

"The fact is that MeK was pointless, and I absolutely LOATHE the British and fans of the RN on this forum"

That was just insane!
