Italian ships: Where do I find them?

When I open up my Tech Tree, I cannot see any Italian flag nor any Italian ships. Someone wrote that he has the Duca D'Aosta cruiser. I have no idea how I can acquire such a ship.

Is there the BB RM Roma coming, also?

Note that the proper prefix for the Italian Navy of WWII or earlier is RM (Regia Marina), NOT RN (Royal Navy). RN is exclusive to the navy of Great Britain and has to be left with that nation. All English speakers are aware of this. Please, comply.

The current prefix for the Italian Navy (after 1946) is MM (Marina Militare).

unfortunately you have just missed Duca D'Aosta by a couple of weeks, as she was on sale recently. It is likely to come around again, but i doubt it will be soon. I would imagine Roma will be along at some point, but how far along WG are with it remains to be seen. Its not expected in the next few patches that's for sure.

I have the Duke and are in serious difficulty with this ship: it's a Tier VI just by name. I think it should be revised .... I can not support the team: I do little damage. I bought it just after it was put on sale a few months ago.

ABSOLUTELY MUST BE UPDATED!

The RM Roma battle ship? We are waiting.....

Use speed to flank around and spit up enemy fire. Your hard to hit when steaming at 38 knots. :cap_cool:

Duca D'Aosta is one of the most fun ships in the game, can't wait for a full line. In the mean time you could play Italian designed or built ships like Tashkent.

Duca d'Aosta really takes a 14 point captain to shine. The drag seems a bit much making the range and the terminal fall painful. However maybe the original shell using the 1000 m/s was much less aerodynamic? It is heavier than the German 150mm shell yet dives rapidly past 10km. boh

Needs good captain. But once have one its a blast. Use to close support your DD and kill enemy ones. Long range torps are "fire & forget" fun - use for area denial / blind fire. Keep moving, keep speed up. Don't "tank". I dont survive many battles, and don't top damage lists, but it is fun. Bit it a WOT cromwell.

Very funny. Poor old Italians always being made fun of in modern warfare. Nevertheless, I'm waiting for the Regia Marina 'Roma' with bated breath.

I note your reference to the size of the map. It is rather small and repetitive.

During the night between 18 and 19 December 1941 in the port of Alexandria sunk the English battleships Valiant and Queen Elizabeth. It is one of the most resounding companies of the Italian Navy during World War II.

There is no glory in the sinking of ships: my thoughts are those who died in battle. No matter the nation. Let's remember them for their courage and their ideals (whatever it was)

No. RN in italian stands for Regia Nave (royal ship).
It's true that RM is more common, but don't go around claiming exclusive ownership on the prefix. Thanks.
