Without Gallant, only one collection box a day??

I'm utterly perplexed, the only way to complete the collection that I've managed to find thus far is a non-repeatable mission to get 2k base exp per day, and another similar mission that can only be completed with the gallant.

 

No campaign, and the operation doesn't list collection boxes as a reward. Are we really limited to getting one collection item per day? two if we throw some money at a British dd?

Yes, it seems like it.

Another forumite pointed that if you have the Gallant, you can open in total 3 containers per day, 1 for everyone and plus two for those who have Gallant.

There is also another mission where if you are top player in Gallant you get 1, but that will be hard.

minimum amount 2x7 special flags + 1pcs of the collection  mine give that

standard container gives 1 or max 3 flags and 2pcs of collection

How utterly disappointing.

Where the Bismarck collection gave us dozens of miniature objectives to complete, each with a pleasant reward of strong signal flags on top of collection items and credits for duplicates ...
 

We get teased wit the fact that these containers should be even better because they might have a premium ship in them! of course even with Bismarck collection container numbers the chances of actually getting that would be slim to none, but hey, better is better.

 

But with these containers behind a daily timer and a paywall, what were low chances are even more stinted.

I might get a Gallant if I get R1 in time to make use of her. Otherwise I'll give the campaign a miss I think...

According to calculations the average number of containers needed to complete the collection is 14, with the max needed being 18.

So you definitely don't need more than one per day.

Am I paranoid or did WG remove a news article that detailed the necessary missions to get event reward containers?

 

Because I could swear I saw something just this morning but wanted to double check the possible number of containers you could get with and without the Gallant, but I can't find the article anymore on the news portal ...

I've had 3 event containers so far, and lucky not to get any duplicates collectables, 5/16, so, well on the way to completing the collectables and getting Jack Dunkirk.

What do you mean it is not clear guys?

1. For wide player base , max 1 container a day for gathering a modest amount of base xp in ships above t5 (?).

2. For Gallant owners, the above plus two different missions for Gallant only (gather some base xp or be top at xp and win or something). For them max 3 containers per day.

3. For "first world problem" guys, go to prem shop and buy how many event containers . For them max 1 million containers per day if you have dollar.

Its a bit odd that there is no motivation to play the campaign once you have your daily container. I wonder how that affects the team configurations? By the end of the evening, the teams must be full of just the desperate and the incompetent..... (ok, so not much change then...).

Thats wrong, its 2 a day. The top XP mission is a combat mission, not a challange. So it is one time only.

I think it is 1 container for "gather base xp with whatever ship u like", 2nd container for "gather xp with Gallant" and 3rd container for "be top of the team in xp with Gallant".

Joby I think u will open 3 containers only the first day, from the second day u will open only 2 as the 3rd mission is not repeatable. The forumite friend must be right and me wrong.

Yes, one mission is 1/1 only. If not completed it, it shows as 0/1.

Probably paranoid but dont worry you are not the only one, in my case I attribute it to 254 Ranked battles so far.

They are both repeatable, but once per day.

Conditions

For the first mission : win in your Gallant and be at the top 5 of xp earners on your team (random, ranked, co op and scenarios)

For the second mission: win in the Gallant and be top xp earner on your team (random, ranked, co op and scenarios)

I think the News page is just wrong on this one, because in game there is no indication about the top XP one beeing repeatable.

 

I might be wrong but why else would "Gallant I" be a challange with a once per day indication and "Gallant II" be a combat mission, which are usually one time only.

 

Edit: or they implemented "Galant II" incorrectly, also a possibility
