Weekend bonus: Spend time with your family

Dear WG EU,

 

Thanks for spoiling us so hard with the 50% win bonuses this weekend. You are ensuring I spend plenty of time with the family.

Just when you think WG EU are improving with a smart little Smith event and papa papa bundles on the store they cancel out all the goodwill by removing what should be the STANDARD 100% weekend win bonuses; the only thing that motivates me to play at the weekend and use some of those lovely special flags.

 

Just remember spending time with the family and playing all those other games you need to finish 'has never been so easy'.

This is fantastic! It's a reunion of all the guys that defended WG EU during the 'Santa's christmas convoys' disaster; desperate to run and defend their precious WG EU once again! Looks like these chaps haven't forgotten how silly they looked back then and now want to get their revenge. Bad luck guys. :p

I think Mr Fingers's puppy is annoyed as usual   He can still find something to be angry about when all is good. I am assuming you are a bloke but this monthly moan stuff makes me wonder.

Usually I tend to agree with you, but this time you're really going too far. There is no standard weekend bonus of 100%, there is a standard weekend bonus of 50%, which may get upgraded to 100%.

Expecting 100% every weekend is just stupid. It would be different if there was no other special, but we've got a nice mission for a fun little ship, some flags and a free port *Edited

Maxxy I wasn't actually referring to you so don't feel offended. I love the game, don't mind the developer but have very little time for WG EU. If they gave me an option to move servers I would probably take it. I have invested a lot in this game, too much to just walk away.

To be honest, I'm fine with not having weekend 'specials' every weekend, as long as when we do get them they are actually special, not just an x2 on your first win, a discount on low-mid tier ships and some crappy mission.

Seriously? I can with certainty say that I did not defend WG there. I promptly joined the dissatisfied choir. I also don't shy away from criticizing WG when they *Edited. But somebody whining that we got a special Smith mission instead of x2 first win multiplier is truly something astonishing for me. WG usually makes a weekend special. It's mostly just x2 1st win. Sometimes (instead of that) it's a x1,5 captain XP for every victory. This week they didn't do either - instead we got an easy XP grind mission that spans two weekends + the working days in between them. A mission that, might I add, gives away a premium ship (as underwhelming as it might be), 24hour premium (a +50% XP that actually stacks with all other bonuses multiplicatively, unlike 1st win bonus) plus some useful flags (including 10 +50% XP ones, that, combined with 1st win, would give you the same netto benefit) and a bunch of nice-looking premium camos (not sure what they do but most likely there's some XP bonus there too). Seriously, wtf is your problem with that? Even if we divide the rewards by two, they seem better than the "standard" +50% on 1st wins during the weekend.

WOW how easily triggered are you? How could I be referring to you when you had not even posted on this thread? I was referring to Earl_of_Wargaming_EU and of course the weird stalker, that constantly attempts to troll.

My problem is that all of the other servers would have events running at the SAME TIME as the normal weekend bonuses not give one, take another away. I acknowledged in my post that the Smith event is good. Did you even read that bit? The trouble is that I, like many other already own a Smith and wait all week for the bonuses. It's pretty poor when they don't come.

I don't understand the attitude of so many forumites; the attitude that you should just roll over and accept inequality of service.

There are plenty of people who agree with me, even if you do not.

There is no inequality in replacing a regular weekend special with a better one. If you already have smith, you'lll get some credits instead, but you can still get the premium time, the flags, the port slut and the camo.

I agree with your reasoning of "don't let WG screw you over", but this is just not the right opportunity to voice that.

It's like it was with the secret GNB event, YOU expected the 100% xp win bonus, it's your fault for expecting the special. Difference with GNB being of course that that secret was a huge disappointment because it just wasn't that good, but this special is better than the special you were expecting, even if you already have smith (I have it already too, got it from GNB I think).

That normal weekend bonus of +100% exp for first win is seldom enough to bother with weekend warriors, and forgetting to activate any kind of EXP bonuses whatsoever is a complete [edited]-you. They sure are spoiling us with a useless tier 2 boat to grind for though!

OP is absolutely right, and the nubs trolling him for it would be better off to bully someone who actually complains for nothing.
